La Cala (Campo America - North)
|
Description Opened shortly after Campo Asia, Campo America, formerly the North Course, is some 250 metres longer and carries a par of 73 (there are five par 5s). The hilly topography is similar to Campo Asia and did not lend itself to the creation of any water holes, but carry shots across steep grunkle-covered side slopes more than make up for the lack of water on this challenging golf course. Two, perhaps three, of the par 5s are reachable in two (holes 1, 9 and 15), and the par 3s are spectacular. La Cala Golf Resort
Directions from Sunset Beach Club Take the CN340 towards Fuengirola/Algeceiras. Approx. 5 minutes after Fuengirola, turn off the coast road towards "La Cala de Mijas" and follow the signs for the golf course, which is located approx. 8km from the coast.

La Cala (Campo Asia - South)
|
Description Opened in the early 90's, this dramatic layout requires an accurate game with lots of bunkers to defend the greens, a variety of tricky par 4s and interesting par 3s. Many of the greens are in an elevated position, and a good short game is necessary to score well on this golf course, so this beautifully mature course is best suited for intermediate to advanced players. However, this golf course is no push-over with plenty of bunkers and the River Ojen featuring on eight holes, and cutting across three fairways. La Cala Golf Resort
