The city of Málaga is getting ready to host the 19th edition of its International Jazz Festival which takes place from the 9th to the 15th November 2015.

This year’s programme stands out for the quality of musicians taking to the stages of the the Cervantes and Echegaray Theatres. Spectators will be able to enjoy the music of artists such as  Richard Galliano, China Moses, Chapi Pineda, Dr. Lonnie Smith, Esperanza Spalding, Jerry Gonzalez or Dayna Kurtz.

The jazz festival will also offer a parallel activities programme (concerts, cinema and kids activities) as well as a special ‘Off’ Section featuring jazz sessions in different locations throughout the city (see programme below). Continue Reading →

Fuengirola’s Erotic Tapas Route: A “Spicy” Gastronomic Adventure

Erotic Tapas Route in Fuengirola On the 30th October 2015, our neighbouring town of Fuengirola kicks off the 7th edition of the “Ruta dela Tapa Erótica” (Erotic Tapas Route), a simple and original idea which, since the first edition, has become a reference all over Spain.

Up until the 15th November, visitors to Fuengirola will be able to enjoy this traditional Spanish snack, with a slightly “spicy” touch. This year, the route sees 100 different establishments take part, each preparing a sensual and fun tapa, with creativity and flair being the main ingredients.

Anyone who visits one of the participating restaurants or bars will be able to sample one of these “erotic” tapas and a cool beer for a – very reasonable – €2. Continue Reading →
