Ruta de la Tapa Arroyo de la Miel 2014Arroyo de la Miel and Benalmadena Costa are getting ready to celebrate the 7th edition of their annual Tapas Route (Ruta de la Tapa), a gastronomic event which helps promote the town’s culinary culture as well as its establishments.

Cudeca Walkathon 2014This coming Sunday the 25th May, the promenade in front of Sunset Beach Club will host the 12th edition of the Cudeca Walkathon. 

Every year, we here at Sunset Beach Club provide our unconditional support to this fantastic event which aims to raise awareness for the incredible work the Cudeca Foundation does for Cancer patients here on the Costa del Sol. The funds raised during the Walkathon also allow for the continued palliative care the Cudeca hospice offers to more than 800 cancer patients and their families totally free of charge.  Read More…

Baby Dolphin at Luna Beach ClubLast weekend’s strong easterly winds and gigantic waves brought an unexpected visitor to the shores of Luna Beach Club: A baby dolphin. 

Disoriented by the rough seas the tiny creature could not fight the heavy seas and smashed against the rocks of the peer located just in front of Luna Beach. Realising that the dolphin was in trouble, the Luna staff quickly ran to its rescue and carried it to the ‘relative’ safety of the beach as it was clear that it could not fend for itself. Read More…

This year our General Manager, Mark Wardell, wanted to do something different, concentrating our fund raising efforts on a very specific cause… that’s when we came up with the idea for ‘Sunset Breaks’. 

It’s our job to provide an enjoyable experience in a fun and safe environment. One could say we are in the ‘dream business’; the business of creating special memories.

Most of us are fortunate enough to be able to travel to foreign countries and enjoy family holidays; however, there are many who aren’t so lucky… So this year, we’ll focus our efforts on creating special memories for those less fortunate, more specifically, for children who are battling serious illness. Malaga Celebrates the 7th Edition of ‘La Noche en Blanco’ With More Than 200 Free Cultural Activities

La Noche en Blanco Malaga 2014Malaga’s ‘La Noche en Blanco’ (White Night) has established itself as one the city’s most important cultural events. This Saturday 10th May from 8:00pm to 02:00am, all who visit the Costa del Sol’s capital will be treated to an unbelievable selection of free cultural activities. 

The event organisers (Malaga City Council’s Department of Culture) hope to break a record this weekend with around 200 activities spread throughout the city and grouped into various themes:

  • Museums
  • Exhibition halls and art galleries
  • Artistic performances and unique street-facing spaces

Visitors will also be able to enjoy activities related to visual arts; literary and scenic get-togethers; concerts; guided tours of attractions which aren’t usually open to the public at these times (such as the Alcazaba fortress) and other programmed surprises during this special evening.  Read More…

Honey Museum in Colmenar, MalagaAccording to Einstein, “If a bee disappeared off the surface of the globe then man would only have four more years of live left. No more bees, no more pollination, no more plants, no more animals, no more man.” 

Whilst this statement may not be entirely true, studies show that millions of human beings would not survive and thousands of plant species would die out without them; there is no doubt that these fascinating creatures play a vital role in nature.
