Northern Soul promoters, GoldSoul, are heading back to Sunset Beach Club this February with another edition of their winter soul break. Whilst this winter edition of their Soul has recently been a 9-day event, this year we are back to a fun-packed 5-day soul music experience!
As many of you know, for the last 16+ years we’ve welcomed GoldSoul for their week-long Costa del Soul events. These usually take place at the end of October, and are, undeniably the top soul music events on the Costa del Sol.
Building on the success of their autumn Costa del Soul holidays, GoldSoul recently (before Covid messed things up) added this new Soul and Motown Break to their calendar!
From the 2nd to 7th February (2024) Soul and Motown music fans can enjoy a jam-packed long weekend break in the sun with music every night in the Sunset Beach Club Moonlight Bar and daily lunchtime sessions on the Oasis Restaurant Terrace.
Some of the UK’s top northern soul DJ’s will be flying in especially for this Soul music weekend including Kev Roberts, Snowy, Ozz, Hitsville Chalky, Ossie Stewart, Tim Rabjohn, Sam Evans, Mike Atherton, Andy Baskett as well as other DJ’s and guests yet to be announced.

This is a privately organised event; however, hotel guests and non-residents are welcome to join in the fun. Entrance fee will be €10 per person and night and is payable at the door each night.

October is ‘Soul Time’ here at Sunset Beach Club!
For the 15th year, our friends at Goldsoul – well-established UK Soul event promoters – are coming back for a fun week of the best tunes, lots of dancing and, of course, sunshine!!!
This year’s ‘Costa del Soul’ event promises to be the best yet. After the success of the extended 9-day event (It’s usually seven nights) this year Goldsoul will repeat this winning formula and Costa del Soul will run from Friday 6th October to Saturday 14th October featuring some of the top DJ’s from the UK playing the most fantastic Soul Music Tunes throughout the day.
Soul music lovers can enjoy their daily dose of Classic Soul tunes by the hotel’s Tikki Poolside Bar whilst enjoying a cool jug of Sangria and working on their tans!
After a hard day by the pool, the fun continues in the Panorama Bar with some laid-back soul from 6 to 9 pm. This includes the ever-popular happy hour and the chance to catch up and watch the latest live Premiership or Champions League football matches.

Sunset Beach Club is delighted to be hosting another edition of ‘Costa del Soul’, a week long soul music event featuring some of the top DJ’s from the UK. This will be the 7th year that Costa del Soul comes to Sunset Beach Club and judging by the bookings already made, this is going to be the most popular edition to date!

The Soul event of the year is back again! Costa del Soul will take place from the 26th October to the 3rd November at Sunset Beach Club. This is the 4th year running that Goldsoul – a well established UK soul event promoter – has chosen our hotel as a venue for their increasingly popular week long soul event.
More than 10 DJ’s from the UK will be featuring the full spectrum of Soul from the early days in the UK at famous clubs like the Twisted Wheel, Golden Torch, Blackpool Mecca, Wigan Casino through the 80’s.
Goldsoul are offering a 7 night package, excluding flights and guest will be able to enjoy a fantastic week of Classic Soul music from the 60’s, Motown, Northern Soul era through the 70’s and 80’s with the best Modern and Boogie Disco Anthems.
Daily Events
- From 2pm to 4:30pm every day, the Tikki Pool Bar is the place to be with chill out tunes, sun and sangria 🙂
- The Panorama Bar will offer a happy hour and laid back soul sessions from 6pm to 9pm; Live sports events such as Premiership and Champions League football.
- After dinner its time to dance the night away in the Moonlight Theatre, the special dance venue which will be open from 9:30pm to 2am every week night and from 9:30pm to 3:30pm on Friday and Saturday.
Soul fans living on the Costa del Sol or staying at other hotels or accommodation are welcome to the daily sessions in the Moonlight Theatre; it’s just €10 Euros per person/session.

Costa del Soul - The best Soul Music at Sunset Beach Club
At the end of October, we welcome back, for the 2nd year running, Gold Soul – a well established UK Soul event promoter – and their week long “Costa del Soul” event.
Sunset Beach Club will become a haven for Soul music enthusiasts who will enjoy a week of the best soul tunes and, of course, the hotel’s fantastic facilities.
Some of the UK’s best DJ’s will fly in for the event and will delight fans with their mix of Northern Soul, Modern Anthems, Motown and 5 decades of great soul music. The fun begins each day with some light sessions by the pool (14:00 to 16:00) Sun, sea, sangria and some great soul! From 18:00 to 21:00 you can enjoy some more light sessions in the Panorama Bar, making the most of happy our and the amazing views.
However, the real party begins at 21:00 hrs in the Moonlight Bar! Get ready for 7 nights of dancing to the best soul music as the DJ’s take to the stage! (Nige Brown, Chris King, John Poole, Dave Evison and Rob Thomas are just some of the DJ’s flying in).
This week long event is hosted by Kev Roberts – one of the main forces in Northern Soul and Retro Pop music – and we expect to accommodate many fans flying down from the UK specially for the event.
