Looking to Book a Flight from the UK to Malaga? Save up to 70% by Following These Simple Tips

Saving money on flights to MalagaDo you want to save up to 70% on your next flight to Málaga?

According to Kayak, one of the world’s most popular travel search engines, it’s possible to do. The British version of the site Kayak.co.uk recently analysed data from more than a billion – yes, one billion! – searches on their site and revealed some interesting results about the best time for brits (although we’re sure it’ll work for our Irish guests too) to book travel to the top 10 European destinations per season for 2016.

You’ll find all their results revealed on the detailed infographics we’ve linked to at the bottom of this post. However, we’re – obviously – only interested in the results for travellers flying to Málaga, which, incidentally, is just 20 minutes’ drive from Sunset Beach Club 🙂 (more…)

Thomas Cook Pullout Could Mean Holiday Flight Shortage for Irish Travellers

Holiday flight shortage for Irish Travellers? An article in the Irish Independent last friday caught our eye. It seems that travel giant Thomas Cook plans to exit the Irish charter holiday market, a decision – which travel agents are warning – will affect consumers due to a shortage of supply in last minute holiday deals this summer.

Aer Lingus has already scheduled new flights this summer to several sunny destinations, including a flight from Shannon to Malaga; great news for many of our Sunset Beach Club guests who wont have to fly from Cork or Dublin. Expect the Irish carrier to search for further growth opportunities following the Thomas Cook announcement; hopefully with more flight options to Malaga 🙂 (more…)

British Airways Increases Number of Flights to Malaga

BA flights to MalagaAs from the 27th March 2011, British Airways will be increasing the number of flights into Malaga airport from two to four a day. All of these extra flights to Malaga will depart from Gatwick airport and the total number of weekly flights to the Costa del Sol’s capital will be 28.

British Airways will be using Boeing 737 or Airbus A319 aircraft for this route; the service will include Club Europe and Euro Traveller cabins catering to both the business traveller and those looking for a cheaper alternative.

This is welcomed news for many travellers who prefer to fly with one of the larger carriers rather than the often – although not always – cheaper alternative of budget airlines. Let’s not forget that British Airways flights include onboard catering, online check in with the option to reserve your seat 24 hours before departure, all free of charge (makes a nice change from all the extra charges on most airlines).

Let’s hope that increase in flights will eventually translate to cheaper air fares for anyone wanting to fly from London to Malaga!
