Feria San Miguel in Torremolinos

Are you ready to enjoy 4 days of music, dancing, delicious food and lots of great ‘vino’? This Thursday sees the start of the Feria de San Miguel in Torremolinos; from the 26th to the 29th September our neighbouring town will be in full festive mode to celebrate the most important date on their calendar.

As you would expect in this type of festivity, there will be something for all ages with the town hall organising concerts and live shows for children, youngsters and adults alike. 

Although many of the events programmed for this long weekend might not appeal to everyone, we’ve gone ahead and highlighted some of the events and shows which we think Sunset Beach Club guests might enjoy. Here goes…

Thursday 26th September 

  • From 1.00pm to 7.00pm: Free Paella and ‘Callos’ with live music in the Plaza Federico García
  • 2.00pm to 4.00pm: Take a stroll through the centre of town and listen to the wonderful singing of the typical ‘Coros Rocieros’ (Choirs).
  • 20.15: Official inauguration of the Fair with special street parade and marching band

Friday 27th September 

  • 2.00pm to 4.00pm: Take a stroll through the centre of town and listen to the wonderful singing of the typical ‘Coros Rocieros’ (Choirs).
  • 11.00pm: A night of Flamenco Fusion with PITINGO (famous Spanish artist) – in the Municipal Auditorium

Saturday 28th September 

  • 2.00pm: Large Paella, music and dancing in the Plaza Río Aguasvivas
  • 6.00pm: Feria de San Miguel bull fight in the Torremolinos Bullring (Tickets available at the Sunset Beach Club leisure desk).

 Sunday 29th September 

  • 12.30pm: Mass in honour of San Miguel Arcángel in the San Miguel Church
  • 7.00pm: Procession through the streets of Torremolinos with the Spanish Foreign Legion marching band
  • 11.00pm: Flamenco Show with JOSÉ LUCENA in the Municipal Auditorium.

Don’t forget that in addition to the above activities and events, there will be lots of great food and drink available in most of the town’s restaurants and bars with much of the ‘action’ (singing, dancing, etc) taking place in the centre.
