Bus & Train Information
GETTING FROM MALAGA AIRPORT TO SUNSET BEACH CLUB
Taxis
The quickest and most convenient way to get to Sunset Beach Club from the airport is by taxi. There is usually a surplus of taxis waiting in the taxi rank just outside the arrivals hall.
The cost is approximately 25€ one way. It is normal for small surcharges to apply for luggage, on Sundays and public holidays, and also for late night rides.
Trains
There is a train station at Malaga airport approximately 10 minute walk from the arrivals hall.
The train station nearest the hotel is Arroyo de la Miel. Take the train to Fuengirola, which leaves from Malaga airport approximately every 30 minutes (from 5.30h to 22.30h). The journey to Arroyo de la Miel takes around 18 minutes and costs approximately 2€ per person.
From Arroyo de la Miel you can either take the bus L2 down to the Sunset Beach Club, which costs approximately €1.50 per person, and takes around 15 minutes. Depending on the time of day, the L2 bus runs between every 15 to 40 minutes. Alternatively a taxi from Arroyo de la Miel to Sunset Beach Club costs approximately €7 and takes 10 minutes.
Car Hire
At Sunset Beach Club, we offer a car hire reservations service. Check our website for car hire prices and reservations. You collect the car from Málaga airport upon arrival, and also return it there when you leave, saving round trip taxis/trains. Watch out for our special Accommodation plus Car Hire offers in the Winter, where you can include car hire to your stay from just 18€ per day!
Bus
Unfortunately there are no direct bus routes to Sunset Beach Club from Málaga airport. There are however bus stops right outside the hotel with local bus services to Fuengirola, Torremolinos, Malaga, Benalmadena Pueblo, and Arroyo de la Miel. (See details below)
TRANSPORT AROUND SUNSET BEACH CLUB
Bus and train timetables, and local information are available from our Leisure Desk on the 6th Floor. Here you can also book guided excursions, buy tickets to local attractions, arrange car hire and reserve golf tee times.
Taxis
There is a taxi rank right outside the hotel. It is not normally necessary to call for a taxi, but in case there are none available or if you are a group requiring several taxis at the same time, please contact the leisure desk (or reception).
Local Buses
There are bus stops very close to the hotel, which is ideal for getting to the local towns of Fuengirola, Torremolinos, Arroyo de la Miel, Benalmádena Pueblo, and also to Malaga city. If you wish to go to Mijas or Marbella, you can change bus at Fuengirola.
