Debra España provides specialist care to children suffering form the painful genetic skin condition “Epidermolysis Bullosa” or, as its more commonly known, Butterfly Skin Disease.
Totally self-funded, Debra España provides a unique and specially adapted respite holiday home in Marbella which serves children - and their parents - from all over Europe. Access to this home gives them all the opportunity to experience a holiday they would never normally be able to enjoy.
Debra Spain is a non profit organization founded in 1993 with the aim of improving the lives of Butterfly children. They offer the following support and services to patients:
- Specialist nursing assistance
- Advice on support and social services
- Advice and mentoring for health professionals in the public and private sector
- Funding for research
- Campaigning for patients rights
- Collaboration with both national and international entities
An important part of Debra’s activity is dedicated to the development and implementation of investigation projects and improving the quality of life of patients and their carers.
Our goal: To support Debra España in all their activities, in particular, their holiday service to children and their families.
