Here at Sunset Beach Club hotel, in Benalmadena, we are constantly striving to find new ways in which to protect our environment, especially concerning energy and water management, use of ozone-friendly products wherever possible, and recycling of waste materials. Here are just a few of the ways in which we achieve this:-

Energy Management
♥ Use of solar-panels for heating water
♥ Ongoing replacement of lighting with bulbs of low energy consumption
♥ Automatic light controls in public toilets
♥ Automatic energy control in apartments with use of room card
♥ Double glazing to save heat and energy
♥ Air-conditioning systems using coolant gases in accordance with current
ozone-protection laws
♥ Independent cooling and heating system in each apartment

Water Management
♥ Partial water discharge system in toilets
♥ Automatic irrigation system in garden areas

Ecological Housekeeping
♥ Ozone-friendly products wherever possible
♥ Very limited use of sprays
♥ Optional towel and sheet changes
♥ Automatic detergent dispenser in washing machines
♥ Automatic chlorine dispenser in swimming pools

Waste Recycling
♥ Office paper and ink cartridges are recycled
♥ Separate waste recycling bins for paper, glass and plastic for client's use
♥ Battery recycling programme
♥ Glass and fluorescent light recycling programme

General
♥ Non-smoking policy in all public areas of the hotel
♥ Sound-proofing of the Moonlight Bar to prevent noise pollution
