18th of June - Corpus ChristiThis is a religious event celebrated with processions in the centre of Malaga, but is not a holiday. |

23rd of June (Approx.) - San JuanSan Juan is the longest day of the year and is celebrated with bonfires, fireworks and parties on the beach. The tradition is to dip your feet in the sea just after midnight for good luck. |

16th of July - Virgen del CarmenVirgen del Carmen is the patron of the sea and used to be a holiday in Malaga. Held at midnight on July 16th the towns and fishing villages of the coast parade their statues of La Virgin del Carmen by the water and along the beaches, and set sail in boats, accompanied by the sound of blowing of horns and the setting off of fireworks. |

The Malaga Feria in AugustThe traditional summer Malaga festival "Feria" is in the 3rd week of August; a weeklong festival of fun, flamenco, guitar, singing, eating, drinking, traditional dress & horse parades. A feast of colour, daytime celebrations take place in the city centre; at night bars and fairground rides bustle on the outskirts of the city. There are special bullfights around feria time. |
