In the afternoon of Thursday 5th January, kids all over Spain will be lining the streets of all the main towns and cities to watch the traditional Three Kings Parades.

This is the highlight of the Christmas festivities and a must-watch for anyone visiting at this magical time of year. Many of our guests like to venture into town and watch the colourful parades so we’ve put together this blog post highlighting some of our favourite processions with timetables and the exact locations of each. Timetable for the Three Kings Parade in Benalmadena, Malaga, Fuengirola & Marbella

Three Kings ParadeThis Sunday night sees the arrival of the Three Kings, Gaspar, Melchor and Balthazar. Excitement is the operative word as kids (and some adults) eagerly await the arrival of the Three Kings of Orient bearing gifts for all those who have been good over the past year 🙂

The fun begins a little earlier though, as the Three Wise Men delight crowds in the traditional parades which take place in all the major cities, towns and villages on the afternoon of the 5th January.

Families will be lining the streets to catch a glimpse of the gift-bearing Kings sitting comfortably in their spectacular carriages which slowly make their way through the carefully planned routes. Make sure you take a plastic bag to collect all the sweets which will be thrown in to the crowds from the carriages! (more…)

Three Kings Parade in Benalmadena

Three Kings parade BenalmadenaThe kids are getting excited as their favourite day of the year approaches: Three Kings. As is tradition here in Spain, families congregate to watch the popular Three Kings parades which take place in most towns and cities. This year, Benalmadena town hall has organised a fantastic parade which you wont want to miss.

Official Route of the 3 Kings Parade in Benalmadena

12:00 pm – The 3 Kings arrive by boat at the Marina’s eastern pier. Upon arrival, they will head to the area between Avenida Alay and Antonio Machado; fromm here, the children will have the opportunity to hand over their letters (with their present wish list) to the 3 wise men as well as enjoy entertainment and animation which has been organised. The local business association will also donate a large number of gifts and toys which will be handed out amongst all children who attend the arrival of the Three Kings. (more…)
