This Wednesday sees the start of the Fuengirola Fair. Lasting a total of 7\u00a0 days (from the 6th<\/sup> until the 12th<\/sup> October) the fair will be the perfect excuse to take in some traditional Spanish culture \u2013 and have some great fun whilst you\u2019re at it \u2013<\/p>\n

The fair takes place in the \u201cRecinto Ferial\u201d(Fair Ground) which is situated in the centre of the town and has easy access either by bus or by train.<\/p>\n

The Fuengirola fair has a something for everyone: a wide selection of rides for children and adults as well as the traditional \u201ccasetas\u201d where you can enjoy a nice glass of wine and a tapa of \u201cjam\u00f3n Serrano\u201d whilst you listen to typical flamenco music. If you are feeling in the spirit, you may even want to have a go at the \u201cSevillanas\u201d, the typical dance for these occasions.<\/p>\n

These are some of the highlights of the fair that might be interesting:<\/p>\n

Saturday de 9<\/strong>th<\/strong><\/sup> October<\/strong><\/p>\n

  • The Virgen del Rosario Equestrian Show in the main fair ground.<\/li>\n
  • Top grade Bullfight with some of the best names; El Cordob\u00e9s, Francisco Rivera and El Fandi<\/li>\n
  • Evening Concert \u2013 Lolita (daughter of the famous Lola Flores)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Sunday 10<\/strong>th<\/strong><\/sup> October<\/strong><\/p>\n

    • Bullfight on Horseback. (If you\u2019ve never seen this before, this is really worth watching)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Monday 11<\/strong>th<\/strong><\/sup> October<\/strong><\/p>\n

      • Children\u2019s Party with Clowns, face painting and balloons.<\/li>\n
      • Special Children\u2019s evening with all fair rides at 50% of normal price (If you have kids, this will save you a fortune!)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
