Whenever I speak to guests who are thinking of travelling to Benalmadena<\/strong> (and to Sunset Beach Club<\/span><\/a>, of course) one of the first questions I get asked is \u201cWhat\u2019s the weather like in Benalmadena<\/strong>?\u201d It\u2019s to be expected, after all, most visitors are coming to the Costa del Sol to enjoy the sun!<\/p>\n

So, I thought I\u2019d write a quick blog post about the weather in Benalm\u00e1dena<\/strong>; average temperatures, what to expect at different times of the year, and how to keep up to date with local weather forecasts.<\/p>\n

Now, let\u2019s get the bad news out of the way first: Yes, it can rain in Benalm\u00e1dena and we do have days when a jacket is needed. \ud83d\ude41<\/p>\n

Right, that\u2019s the bad news out of the way; let\u2019s focus on the positive stuff. Benalmadena<\/strong> \u2013 and the rest of the Costa del Sol \u2013 enjoys an average of 320 days of sunshine per year!<\/strong> Yes, you read that right. That means that there is a great chance that your holidays will be blessed with sunshine; obviously, a lot depends on the dates you choose to travel, but hopefully the following graphs will give you a better idea of when to expect more rainfall and when you are practically guaranteed sunshine.<\/p>\n

Average Temperatures in Benalmadena<\/h3>\n

Average maximum temperature throughout the year<\/strong> is a, very comfortable, 23\u00baC (Is that a smile I see on your face?) and average minimum temperature is a, bearable, 13\u00baC (please see the graphs).<\/p>\n

Visitors can expect the cooler weather during the winter months (December to March) with temperatures rarely rising above the 20\u00baC mark – although the last couple of years have been an exception… it’s 24\u00baC as I write this in february!-. From April onwards, you\u2019re looking at temperatures of 20\u00baC plus, reaching the mid 30\u2019s in July and August \u2013 definitely sitting-in-the-pool-type weather!<\/p>\n

Average Rain Fall in Benalmadena<\/h3>\n

We have an average of 43 rainy days a year<\/strong>. As can be seen in the graph, December and January are the wettest months with an average of 6 rainy days per month. February, April and November average 5 days of rain a month and the summer months of June to September are practically rain free!<\/p>\n
