St Patrick\u2019s Day is a popular celebration in Benalmadena<\/strong>. Every year, over 1000 people (Irish locals, visitors and pretty much anyone looking to have a good craic) join in the parade in the centre of town and the amazing party taking place afterwards! <\/p>\n\n\n

It\u2019s no secret that Sunset Beach Club is an Irish-owned hotel, and that the 17th March is an important day in our calendar. Every year, we prepare our \u201cSunset Style\u201d celebrations which include consuming copious amounts of Guinness at the Panorama Bar and a fantastic \u201cIrish Themed\u201d buffet dinner for all our guests in our Oasis Restaurant!\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year’s celebrations in nearby Arroyo de la Miel have now been confirmed. Weather permitting, you’ll all be able to enjoy a fun day out on the 17th March! There will be live music and shows all day in Plaza de la Mezquita (see below for programme and times).<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

If you\u2019re looking for a plan for St Patrick\u2019s Day<\/strong>, here\u2019s what we recommend:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1) \u00a0When you wake up, head down to our stunning new Oasis Restaurant and tuck into the hot buffet breakfast<\/strong>; you\u2019re going to need something solid in your stomach before venturing out and enjoying the festivities \u00a0\ud83d\ude09 Our animation team will be handing out balloons to all the kids and will also be doing SSt Patrick’s Day-themed tattoos for anyone who wants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2)  After breakfast, you’ll want to make your way into the centre of Benalmadena (Arroyo de la Miel) where the St Patrick’s Day festivities start. Mass at the Catholic Church (Inmaculada Concepci\u00f3n – beside the train station) starts at 1:30pm but the party will have already started at Plaza la Mezquita.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After mass at approximately 11:30am, you’ll join the Parade organised by The Irish Association of Spain and head down to Plaza de la Mezquita where you’ll be able to enjoy the traditional St. Patrick’s Day party which includes Celtic<\/strong> dancers<\/strong>, singers and performers who will be entertaining the crowds throughout the day. <\/strong>\u00a0Of course, there will also be great food and the best Guinness in the area!!!\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3) \u00a0At 6:30pm, make sure you head back to Sunset Beach Club to enjoy our Happy Hour in the Panorama Bar<\/strong>. Half-price drinks until 7:30pm as well as a great promotion where you get a free surprise gift when you buy 2 pints of Guinness (This promotion is actually available on the 14th, 15th, 16th and 17th March).\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Don’t miss the opportunity to take a selfie photo in our special St Patrick’s Day photo booth. There will be costumes available to try on for your photo and if you share it on social media, you could win a t-shirt!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our animation team will be in the Panorama Bar on the 17th from 17:00h in full St Patrick’s Day attire, organising games and a ‘best costume’ competition with prizes for the winners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4)  Dinner at the Oasis Restaurant from 6:30pm:<\/strong> Try our great-value evening buffet featuring traditional Irish specials to celebrate St Patrick\u2019s Day. The price is \u20ac20 per person (drinks not included). Please note that our regular a la carte menu is available in our La Terraza restaurant, and live music with Michelle Jane, who will be performing a special St. Patrick’s Day set.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

5) Head up to the Moonlight Bar<\/strong> at 9.30pm to enjoy live music with the fantastic Queen Tribute!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
