\"Nerja<\/a>Next Tuesday the 12th<\/sup> July sees the start of the 52nd<\/sup> edition of the famous Nerja Caves Festival, one of the most important music and dance events on the Costa del Sol.<\/p>\n

Since the opening of this spectacular cave in 1960, this Festival has been held every year, attracting artists and musicians from all over the world. Thanks to its incomparable beauty and exceptional acoustics, the Nerja Caves attract thousands of spectators every year \u2013 approximately 800 people are seated every night in the \u201cSala de Ballet\u201d auditorium to enjoy the very best music and dance shows.<\/p>\n

This year, the festival will be split into four separate parts: An evening of Flamenco, an evening dedicated to music of the world, an evening of Spanish dance and opera and last, but by no means least, a lyrical concert.<\/p>\n

The programme for the 5 day event is as follows:<\/p>\n

Tuesday 12th<\/sup> July at 10 pm \u2013 Flamenco Evening<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Festival starts with a true andalucian flavour; M\u00e1laga flamenco dancer, Rocio Molina\u2019s show \u201cDanzaora\u201d, winner of the 2010 Dance Prize.<\/p>\n

Wednesday 13th<\/sup> July at 10 pm \u2013 Musicians of the World<\/strong><\/p>\n

This year, the festival is proud to announce the performance of Israeli singer, Noa, who will be interpreting her new musical project called \u201cNoapoles\u201d, a fusion of melodies from Naples \u2013 the singer actually lives in Italy – and music from her home country. Noa will be accompanied on stage by Gil Dor, Zahar Fresco and the Solis String Quartet.<\/p>\n

\"Nerja<\/a>Thursday 14th<\/sup> July & Friday 15th<\/sup> July at 10 pm \u2013 Spanish Dance<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Aida G\u00f3mez dance company \u2013 which belongs to the National Ballet of Spain \u2013 will be performing Bizet\u2019s classic opera, Carmen.<\/p>\n

Saturday 16th<\/sup> July at 10 pm \u2013 Lyrical Concert <\/strong><\/p>\n

The last evening of the festival is reserved for a fantastic lyrical concert. The voices of tenor Jos\u00e9 Bros and soprano Mariola Cantatero will be accompanied on the magnificent stage by the Philharmonic Orchestra of Malaga, led by conductor Edmon Colomer.<\/p>\n
