Last Year's Winner, Paul Lawrie<\/p><\/div>\n

The Andalucia Open 2012 – a European PGA Tour event – will be heading back to Aloha Golf, one of the Costa del Sol\u2019s most long established and prestigious golf courses. From the 15th<\/sup> to 18th<\/sup> March, a strong field with some of the European Tour\u2019s top golfers will compete for the \u20ac1 million prize pot!<\/p>\n

For the last few years, this popular tournament \u2013 organized by local golfing hero, Miguel Angel Jim\u00e9nez \u2013 has been played at the Parador del Golf in Malaga. Last year\u2019s winner was former Open champion Paul Lawrie who will be coming back this year to defend his title at Aloha Golf.<\/p>\n

The Andalucia Open promises four fantastic days of top class golf; however, it also offers a little more\u2026 Some unbelievable views and rich flora. If you plan on visiting Aloha for the Open, make sure you head over to the 13th<\/sup> hole for one of the most spectacular examples of this vegetation; the impressive centenary Carob tree.<\/p>\n

Player\u2019s will have a challenge to master Aloha\u2019s tight fairways and complex greens so we\u2019re in for a great show!<\/p>\n

So Which Players Will be Taking Part in the Andalucia Open?<\/strong><\/p>\n

We\u2019ve already highlighted the fact that last year\u2019s winner, Paul Lawrie, will be taking part. The following European Tour \u2018big guns\u2019 will also be playing: Colin Montgomerie, Michael Campbell, Rich Beem, The Molinari Brothers, Thomas Levet (winner of this tournament in 2008), Robert Rock and, of course, Miguel Angel Jim\u00e9nez, and European Ryder Cup Team Captain, Jose Maria Olazabal. It\u2019s worth noting that the winner takes home a not-too-shabby \u20ac166,660 prize!<\/p>\n

The fun starts on the morning of Thursday the 15th<\/sup> March when the 156 players who have registered for the event take to the course. Entrance fees are \u20ac10 for each day of the tournament, with keen golfing fans able to purchase a 4 day pass for \u20ac30. Children under the age of 16 can access the event for free \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

Tickets will be on sale at Aloha Golf Club from Monday the 12th<\/sup> March.<\/p>\n
