Flamenco in the Nerja Caves...<\/p><\/div>\n

There are just a few days to go until the start of the 53rd<\/sup> Nerja International Music and Dance Festival. From the 17th<\/sup> to the 22nd<\/sup> July \u2013 this year there festival lasts a little longer \u2013 the famous Nerja Caves will be the setting for an amazing selection of music and dance performances: Ballet, flamenco, classical music, opera\u2026each evening offers a different genre and style.<\/p>\n

Nerja Music and Dance Festival – Programme of Events<\/h3>\n

Tuesday 17th<\/sup> July<\/strong>: Performance by the Salzburg Soloist Orchestra which will be playing music by Britten, Milhaud, Villa-Lobos and Piazzolla.<\/p>\n

Wednesday 18th<\/sup> July<\/strong>: Flamenco dancer Antonio \u2018El Pipa\u2019 takes to the stage. For this festival he\u2019ll be accompanied by a special set prepared by Mar\u00eda Dolores Greco, prima ballerina with the Spanish National Ballet.<\/p>\n

Thursday 19th<\/sup> July<\/strong>: Concert by the Baroque Orchestra of Seville who will be accompanied on stage by soprano Mar\u00eda Espada; the conductor will be Argentine violinist Pablo Valetti.<\/p>\n

Friday 20th<\/sup> July<\/strong>: En evening of ballet with soloists and duos from the main Russian ballet companies (Bolshoi, Mariinsky and Mikhailovsky fromSt Petersburg.)<\/p>\n

Saturday 21st<\/sup> July<\/strong>: Spanish singer Pasion Vega takes to the stage accompanied by Jacob Sureda on the piano. She\u2019ll be performing many of her hit songs as well as presenting her new album \u2018Sin Compasi\u00f3n\u2019.<\/p>\n

Sunday 22nd<\/sup> July<\/strong>: The last day of the festival is reserved for the performance by \u2018Els Comediants\u2019, probably one of Spain\u2019s most famous and renowned theatre companies.<\/p>\n

This year buying tickets for the Nerja Music Festival will be a lot easier as they are available for sale online at www.cuevasdenerja.es<\/a>. Another great advantage is that you\u2019ll be able to print out the entrance tickets on your home printer, thereby avoiding having to pick them up at the ticket office. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

Prices this year have been lowered and range from \u20ac25 for the cheapest tickets to \u20ac40 for the most expensive.<\/p>\n

So how do you get to Nerja from Sunset Beach Club<\/a><\/span>? It\u2019s really quite easy, just head towards Malaga and then take the motorway (autov\u00eda) towards Almer\u00eda\/Nerja. In little over an hour, you\u2019ll be enjoying some wonderful performances in a truly unique setting.<\/p>\n
