Fuengirola 'City Tour' Tourist Train<\/p><\/div>\n

For just over a month now, our neighbouring town, Fuengirola, has been enjoying a new attraction: The \u2018City tour\u2019 Tourist Train.<\/p>\n

This new tourist train service will allow visitors to easily make their way around the town\u2019s most emblematic tourist attractions and landmarks including the Roman Ruins, the main sea front promenade, the fabulous beaches and Bioparc (Our favourite :-)). One of the highlights of this new service is its\u2019 \u2018hop-on hop-off\u2019 system which allows the user to jump on and off as often as they like throughout the day.\u00a0<\/p>\n

It seems as though the new train is off to a great start with more than 3000 tourists using the service in its first month of operation; 60 percent of them foreigners and 40 percent nationals. The company responsible for running the service hopes to transport approximately 50.000 passengers a year and will have two trains in operation during the busy summer months to cover the high demand. The trains have two wagons which seat 28 passengers each and are equipped with audio systems which provide information of the train\u2019s route in eight different languages, TFT information screens and special ramps for disabled people.<\/p>\n

The Fuengirola City Tour provides a full journey which lasts approximately 45 minutes and stops at the following places: Teresa Zabell square, Roman Ruins, Fair Ground for the Tuesday and Saturday street markets, Bioparc and the Miramar shopping centre.<\/p>\n

Prices range from \u20ac1.85 for a child under 7 years of age to \u20ac6.50 for an adult day ticket. During the low winter season the train will operate from 10:00am to 5:15pm; this will be extended in high season from 10:00am to 8:30pm and until 11:15pm in July and August.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
