Although the title of this post specifically states Benalmadena, you\u2019ll find that our list wanders a little further down the Coast; that being said, all of these places are well connected by public transport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you\u2019re planning on visiting the Costa del Sol this Christmas, I\u2019m sure you\u2019ll find something of interest on the list. Here goes\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p><strong>#1<\/strong> <strong>Visit one of the many traditional Christmas Markets on the Coast<\/strong>. You\u2019ve got various markets here in Benalmadena; the one on Avenida de la Constituci\u00f3n is open from the 28th November 2025 to the 6th January 2026. But a trip to Malaga\u2019s city centre is also highly recommended as they too have popular markets. The Christmas market along the main &#8216;Paseo del Parque&#8217; in the centre of the city is a must-visit as is the Christmas market located at the Muelle Uno waterfront!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Paseo del Parque<\/strong> &#8211; 11:00am to 10:00pm from 28th November 2025 to 6th January 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Muelle Uno Christmas Market<\/strong> &#8211; 10:00am to 10:00pm daily from 29th November 2025 to 5th January 2026. Please note that hours may be different on 24th &amp; 31st December.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>#2<\/strong>&nbsp;The&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.sunsetbeachclub.com\/blog\/kidsandteens\/sea-life-centre\/\"><strong>Sea Life Aquarium<\/strong><\/a> is open daily from 11:00am and offers a fun and educational morning or afternoon out for all the family. You&#8217;ll see sharks, an octopus, sting rays and many other fascinating sea creatures. Christmas opening hours are as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>11:00am to 7:00pm<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>24th and 31st December &#8211; 11:00am to 6:00pm<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Closed on Christmas Day!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>#3<\/strong> Time to <strong>head into M\u00e1laga city centre and see the impressive <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sunsetbeachclub.com\/blog\/holiday-tips\/things-to-do\/malaga-christmas-lights\/\">Christmas lights display<\/a> in Calle Larios<\/strong>. This year&#8217;s lights feature a light and music show that is truly breathtaking (shows are at 6:30 pm, 8:30 pm, and 10:00 pm). You can get the train from Arroyo de la Miel straight into the centre of M\u00e1laga or jump on the n\u00ba110 bus which stops outside our hotel and will take you to the Malaga port entrance; both easy and cheap! If you pop into the Panorama Bar at midday, there&#8217;s an exciting event for the little ones too, as Father Christmas will be visiting and bringing lots of pressies for them \ud83d\ude42 You can <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sunsetbeachclub.com\/en\/seasons-at-sunset-beach-club\/christmas-lunch-benalmadena\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">click here to see the Christmas Day lunch menu<\/a><\/span>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>#5<\/strong> <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sunsetbeachclub.com\/blog\/holiday-tips\/cable-car-ride-to-the-top-of-benalmadena-an-exciting-albeit-hair-raising-family-day-out\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Take a trip to the top of Benalmadena\u2019s Mount Calamorro<\/a><\/span> on the cable car for the most amazing, crisp and clear views of the Coast. At 1:00pm and 3:00pm they also have a fascinating bird of prey show which you&#8217;ll love. Don\u2019t forget to take a warm jacket as it can get a little cold up there at this time of year! (The cable car opens from 11:00am to 5:00pm)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>#6<\/strong> If you\u2019ve got kids, a visit to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sunsetbeachclub.com\/blog\/holiday-tips\/an-afternoon-at-bioparc-photos\/\"><strong>Fuengirola Bioparc Zoo is another must-do<\/strong><\/a>. Open during the whole of the Christmas period this small, but impressive zoo, built in the centre of Fuengirola has lots of incredible wildlife, including Silver Back Gorillas, Tigers and Crocodiles. Open every day from 10:00am to 6:00pm (Closes at 3:00pm on the 24th &amp; 31st December). Bus n\u00ba120 will take you from Benalmadena to the centre of Fuengirola and the Zoo is just a short 10-minute walk from the station.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>#7<\/strong> <strong>Watch the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sunsetbeachclub.com\/blog\/whats-on\/timetable-for-the-three-kings-parades-in-benalmadena-fuengirola-and-malaga\/\">traditional 3 kings parade<\/a><\/strong> \u2013 On the 5<sup>th<\/sup> January the 3 kings will visit Benalm\u00e1dena\u2026 by boat! Head down to the Marina at 10:00am to watch their arrival. The famous 3 kings parade takes place at 12:00pm in Benalmadena Pueblo and at 4:30pm in Arroyo de la Miel. This is a must-see if you have kids as the 3 wise men will be throwing sweets and gifts into the crowd as they make their way through the streets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>#8<\/strong> See in the New Year in style at our New Year\u2019s Eve Gala Dinner. <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sunsetbeachclub.com\/en\/seasons-at-sunset-beach-club\/new-years-eve-benalmadena\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Check out the mouth-watering menu<\/a><\/span> and full programme for the evening. It\u2019s a great place to take a stroll, enjoy a drink and tapas or even get a little last-minute shopping done; If you&#8217;ve got kids, be sure to visit the Christmas stalls and say hi to Santa Claus, who&#8217;ll delight visitors over the Christmas period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>#10<\/strong> Visit one of the many Christmas activities and events taking place in Benalmadena during the festive period. Families will enjoy Christmas workshops, face painting, kids&#8217; shows, storytelling, video mapping, carol singing, street parades and more! All this will be taking place in different locations around Benalmadena.\u00a0 You can <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sunsetbeachclub.com\/blog\/holiday-tips\/things-to-do\/christmas-in-benalmadena-dont-miss-these-fun-activities-and-events\/\" title=\"Christmas in Benalmadena: Don\u2019t Miss These Fun Activities and Events\">see more detailed information here!<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>#11<\/strong> Take a day trip on the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sunsetbeachclub.com\/blog\/holiday-tips\/new-itinerary-for-benalmadena-tourist-bus\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Benalmadena sightseeing<\/a><\/span> double-decker bus. This is probably the easiest and most economical way to see all that Benalm\u00e1dena has to offer as you can hop on and off whenever you like. The bus stops just outside the hotel, which is another bonus! You can buy tickets from the Leisure Desk or Reception located on the 6th floor of our hotel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>#12<\/strong> <strong>Take an organised tour or excursion and visit&nbsp;cities like Seville, Cordoba or Granada<\/strong>. It\u2019s a great opportunity to see how each city celebrates the Festive Season!
