Our Community Manager’s (Justin) trip to Sierra Nevada…<\/em><\/p>\n

Last weekend I took my family on a day trip to Sierra Nevada. The kids had been bugging me for weeks that they wanted to go and see the snow, so after quickly checking the weather forecast (didn\u2019t want to drive all the way up the mountain to find that the ski station was closed due to bad weather) we decided to head out on Saturday morning.<\/p>\n

The beauty of Sierra Nevada is that it\u2019s just a couple of hours drive from Benalm\u00e1dena. We left at 8:00am and \u2013 after a short breakfast stop \u2013 arrived in Europe\u2019s most southern ski resort at around 11:00am.\u00a0<\/p>\n

I wont lie to you, we chose one of the busiest days and had to deal with substantial traffic (the amazing weather might have had something to do with it :-)) but it was well worth it!<\/p>\n

Quick tip<\/strong>: If you are planning on taking a drive up to Sierra Nevada, try and plan to go on a week day; you won\u2019t have to deal with the hoards of people that visit the resort at weekends!<\/p>\n

We\u2019re not skiers so the purpose of our visit was to have some fun in the snow\u2026 snow ball fights, tobogganing, making snow men, enjoying a few rays of sunshine and the odd beer or two (see photo) \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

We found a great spot right a the top of town next to the Albergue Juvenil (Youth Hostal). Lots of great slopes to speed down, sledge and toboggan hire, a restaurant serving good value snack food and spectacular views! Here are the photos to prove it:<\/p>\n
