\"PosterWe\u2019re just a week away from the start of the M\u00e1laga Fair;<\/strong> undoubtedly the event of the year for the Costa del Sol\u2019s capital.<\/p>\n

Once again, anyone who visits the city during this week long festivity will be treated to a whole host of fun and entertaining activities and events<\/strong>. We\u2019ve gone through the 26 page official programme<\/a><\/span><\/strong> for the \u2018Feria\u2019 and picked out \u2013 what we feel to be \u2013 some of the more interesting events on the calendar. Live music, bullfighting, museum exhibitions, Kids activities, Flamenco Shows<\/strong> are just some of the treats awaiting you!<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s the list:<\/p>\n

1)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The official opening of the Fair on the Malagueta Beach\u00a0<\/strong>(next to the port). You\u2019ll witness a fabulous firework display with music and a free live concert with local singer Vanesa Martin<\/strong>. (Friday 16th<\/sup> August at midnight)<\/p>\n

2)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u2018Ciudad de Malaga\u2019 Horse and Carriage competition<\/strong> in the Malagueta bullring. (Sunday 18th<\/sup> August at 10.00pm)<\/p>\n

3)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Magical Pirate Fair<\/strong> with games, workshops, storytelling, theatre, magic show<\/strong> and lots more. Located in Calle Alcazabilla this activity is available from 12.00pm to 3.30pm on the 19th<\/sup>, 20th<\/sup>,21st<\/sup>,22nd<\/sup>, 23rd<\/sup> and 24th<\/sup> August.<\/p>\n

4)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Various free concerts<\/strong> in the \u2018Auditorio Municipal\u2019 located in the main fair ground. Highly popular Spanish artists such as Chambao, Merche and Andy y Lucas<\/strong> will be delighting crowds from 11pm most evenings. (See full guide for exact dates).<\/p>\n

5)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Bullfighting<\/strong>: Throughout the week, those of you interested in watching a traditional bull fight will be spoilt for choice with some of the greatest matadors visiting the Malagueta bullring throughout the week.<\/p>\n

6)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Flamenco Festival<\/strong> in the \u2018Auditorio Municipal\u2019 at the main fair ground. (11.00pm on the 21st<\/sup> August)<\/p>\n

7)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The day fair in Malaga\u2019s historic centre<\/strong>. Lots of great food, drink and lots of flamenco dancing!<\/p>\n

8)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Museum exhibitions<\/strong>: Throughout the week, many of the city’s museums will be putting on special exhibitions; if you\u2019re an art lover, you won\u2019t want to miss this!<\/p>\n

9)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Historical Parade<\/strong> to commemorate the conquering of the city by the Catholic Kings in 1487. (25th<\/sup> August at 7.00pm)<\/p>\n
