Those of you who have stayed at <\/span>Sunset Beach Club<\/b> will have seen it pass by the hotel several times a day. We\u2019re talking about \u2018Starfish\u2019, the popular ferry boat which takes passengers from Benalmadena Marina to Fuengirola (and back).<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

Many of our guests have taken this trip and highly recommend it. Why? Well here are just a few reasons: <\/p>\n

1)      The Views<\/strong>: Your trip aboard \u2018Starfish\u2019 will allow you enjoy spectacular views of the whole coast line. Camera in hand, you\u2019ll grab some fabulous shots of local landmarks and attractions. Many of our guests take the opportunity to capture a shot of the hotel as a souvenir\u2026 as you can see in the photo below.<\/p>\n

2)      A visit to Fuengirola:<\/b> Our neighbouring town enjoys 8km of promenade and beaches, making it ideal for a leisurely stroll. There are some fantastic \u2018chiringuitos\u2019 along the beach front where you\u2019ll be able to stop off and feast on the freshest seafood\u2026 Calamares anyone?<\/p>\n

Fuengirola also happens to be a shoppers paradise<\/b> with a wide variety of boutiques, stores and shopping centres where you\u2019ll find all your favourite items. If you chose to visit on Tuesday, Saturday or Sunday, you can visit the large and busy street markets filled with local products and plenty of souvenirs for the ideal holiday gift.<\/p>\n

Whilst you\u2019re in Fuengirola, you might want to visits its famous Bioparc Zoo<\/span><\/b><\/a>. Located in the heart of the town, it really makes for a wonderful family outing.<\/p>\n

3)      You might see dolphins!<\/b> We say \u2018might\u2019 because it\u2019s a mere possibility; however, there are pods of dolphins in the waters off Benalm\u00e1dena (our guests sometimes see them playing just off the rocks in front of the hotel) and during the journey to Fuengirola, you might well come across these fun creatures \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

If you\u2019ve been thinking about visiting Fuengirola, forget about taking the bus and travel in style aboard \u2018Starfish\u2019. The trip takes approximately 45 minutes<\/b> and the ferry timetable gives the option of travelling at various times throughout the day (See below).<\/p>\n

Adults:<\/b> 14\u20ac for a return ticket and 9\u20ac one way<\/p>\n

Children<\/b> (3 to 11 years) 8\u20ac return and 5\u20ac one way<\/p>\n

From Benalm\u00e1dena Marina<\/b>: 10:30am, 12:30pm, 2:30pm and 4:45pm<\/p>\n

From Fuengirola Port<\/b>: 11:30am, 1:30pm, 3:30pm and 5:45pm(one way only)<\/p>\n
