Get ready for 8 days of fun and entertainment as the city welcomes thousands of visitors from all over Spain for what has become the most popular summer fair in Andaluc\u00eda and one of the most popular festivities in Spain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The fair starts on Friday 14th August with a Historical Parade through the streets of the old town at 8:00pm. At 11:50 p.m., you&#8217;ll be able to enjoy a special Drone light show, which, following last year&#8217;s success, promises to be even more spectacular, with over 200 drones flying simultaneously through the skies of Malaga.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From midnight, you get to watch the spectacular pyro-musical and fireworks display from the cruise terminal access area in Malaga Port. Lasting 20 minutes and using more than 500 kilos of gunpowder, it&#8217;s a show you won&#8217;t want to miss!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The fair&#8217;s official opening takes place on Saturday 15th August in the same location as last year; the Cortijo de Torres fairground. Malaga CF coach Juan Francisco Funes Arjona will conduct the traditional &#8216;Pregon&#8217; (opening speech) before the switching on of the fair lights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>There&#8217;s so much to see and do at the M\u00e1laga Fair that we&#8217;ve included a brief summary of this year&#8217;s main attractions and events; just choose your favourites:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Historic Parade<\/strong> through the streets of the historic city centre. Starts at 8:00pm from Plaza La Merced.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>The \u2018Romer\u00eda\u2019<\/strong>: On Saturday 15th August, watch the beautiful horses and carriages make their way from the town hall (on the main Alameda Avenue) to the Victoria Sanctuary in this traditional tribute to Malaga\u2019s Patron Saint. The procession starts at 11:00 am.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>The \u2018Feria\u2019 in the Centre of Town<\/strong>: This is our favourite part of the Malaga fair where you\u2019ll be able to enjoy wine, tapas, music and lots of dancing in the streets of the city\u2019s historic centre. Every day (15<sup>th<\/sup> to 22nd\u00a0August) from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Fiesta de Verdiales<\/strong>: Traditional folklore every day (15th to 22nd\u00a0August) in Calle Larios from 1:00 pm.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Flamenco<\/strong>: You\u2019ll be able to watch some of the best flamenco at the fair\u2019s \u2018Pe\u00f1a Juan Breva\u2019 from the 15th to 22nd\u00a0August at 2:00 pm.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>La Feria M\u00e1gica &#8211; &#8216;De la Tierra a la Luna. 30 Aniversario<\/strong>&#8216; (From Earth to the Moon): The little ones also have their own fair with an ample selection of activities which include games, workshops, storytelling, theatre, magic and lots more. Several\u00a0theatre companies will be performing throughout the week-long fair.\u00a0\u00a0If you\u2019d like to take part in the fun, head to Plaza de la Merced from 12:00 pm to 3:30 pm (16th to 22nd\u00a0August).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Bullfighting<\/strong>: The Malaga fair is one of the most important events on the bullfighting calendar and attracts some of the most famous matadors including, <span style=\"color: initial;\">Sebasti\u00e1n Castella, Daniel Luque, David de Miranda, El Fandi, Talavante, Fortes, David Gal\u00e1n, Roca Rey or Morante de la Puebla<\/span>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Real de la Feria (Main fairground)<\/strong>: The main fairground opens at midday every day and is where most of the entertainment takes place; concerts, flamenco shows, entertainment for youngsters\u2026 It\u2019s also where you need to head to if you want to experience the thrill of the funfair rides \ud83d\ude42<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This year\u2019s Malaga Fair also features an impressive list of talented performers taking to the stage at the Municipal Auditorium on the main fairground (all concerts are free) \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Saturday 15th August<\/em>:<\/strong>\u00a0Great Gala with\u00a0<strong>\u00a0Encarni Navarro<\/strong> <strong>y<\/strong> <strong>Diana Navarro<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Sunday 16th August<\/em>:<\/strong>\u00a0Great Gala with <strong>Ana Romma y David de Mar\u00eda.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Tuesday 18th August<\/em>:<\/strong>\u00a0Great Gala with\u00a0<strong>Tabletom y Medina Azahara.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Wednesday 19th August<\/em><\/strong>: Great Gala with <strong>Hoffman y Nancys Rubias<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Thursday 20th August:<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0Great Gala with <strong>Tonia Rodr\u00edgues y Zenet<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Friday 21st August:<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0Great Gala with <strong>Antonio Carmona.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong>Saturday 22nd August:<\/strong><\/em> Great Gala with<strong><strong> Paloma San Basilio.<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you\u2019re planning on visiting the Malaga Fair and are looking for accommodation near M\u00e1laga?&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sunsetbeachclub.com\/\">Sunset Beach Club&nbsp;<\/a>is only 20 minutes drive from the centre of M\u00e1laga; with fantastic apartment-style accommodation and great facilities, it\u2019s the perfect place for an enjoyable family holiday.
