Attendees will enjoy artists such as Kandace Springs, Gustavo Santaolalla, Theo Croker, Victor Wooten &amp; The Wooten Brothers, C\u00e9cile McLorin Salvant, Mammal Hands, Avishai Cohen Quintet, and Al Di Meola.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"programofthe39thmlagainternationaljazzfestival\">Program of the 39th M\u00e1laga International Jazz Festival<\/h3>\n<p>All official festival concerts will be held at Teatro Cervantes.<\/p>\n<p>Tickets are already on sale, ranging from \u20ac10 to \u20ac54 (depending on the artist and seat selection). Discovered by Prince, she\u2019s been compared to Norah Jones and Nina Simone. Her presence in M\u00e1laga promises an intimate and sophisticated evening, featuring songs from albums like <em>Indigo<\/em> and <em>The Women Who Raised Me<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tuesday, November 4 \u2013 Gustavo Santaolalla<\/strong><br>Argentine composer and two-time Oscar winner for the soundtracks of <em>Babel<\/em> and <em>Brokeback Mountain<\/em>. Santaolalla is a key figure in contemporary Latin American music, with a career spanning rock, folklore, and film music. His performance will be an emotional and cinematic experience.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Wednesday, November 5 \u2013 Theo Croker<\/strong><br>American trumpeter and composer Theo Croker mixes traditional jazz with influences from hip-hop, funk, and electronic music. Grandson of legendary trumpeter Doc Cheatham, Croker represents the new generation of jazz with a bold and spiritual style.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Thursday, November 6 \u2013 Victor Wooten &amp; The Wooten Brothers<\/strong><br>Victor Wooten is considered one of the world\u2019s best bassists, known for his virtuosity and creativity. Alongside his brothers, he delivers a show full of groove, improvisation, and energy. Their visit to M\u00e1laga will be a masterclass in technique and musicality.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Friday, November 7 \u2013 C\u00e9cile McLorin Salvant<\/strong><br>Multiple Grammy Award winner, C\u00e9cile McLorin Salvant is one of the most prominent voices in contemporary vocal jazz. Her repertoire ranges from jazz classics to original compositions with strong theatrical and narrative elements. Her performance will be one of the festival\u2019s highlights.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Saturday, November 8 \u2013 Mammal Hands<\/strong><br>British trio combining contemporary jazz with electronic music, minimalism, and global folk influences. With an atmospheric and meditative sound, Mammal Hands offers an immersive sonic experience that has captivated European festivals.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sunday, November 9 \u2013 Al Di Meola<\/strong><br>Virtuoso American guitarist Al Di Meola is a legend of jazz fusion. With a career that includes collaborations with Paco de Luc\u00eda and John McLaughlin, his technique and passion for Latin music make him a global reference.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Monday, November 10 \u2013 Avishai Cohen Quintet<\/strong><br>Israeli double bassist Avishai Cohen is known for his melodic style and fusion of jazz with Middle Eastern music. His quintet delivers sophisticated and emotional compositions with flawless execution. His concert will close the festival on a note of depth and beauty.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, on Tuesday, November 4 at 7:30 PM, there will be a concert by <strong>Altagracia<\/strong> at the Victoria Beer Factory. Miryam Latrece, Luis Regidor, and Lisandro Mansilla present their most intimate and personal musical proposal. Tickets cost \u20ac10, with only 60 seats available.<\/p>\n<p>As in previous years, the festival will also feature parallel activities and free jazz concerts \u2013 the <strong>Open Jazz Festival<\/strong> \u2013 at the Curro Rom\u00e1n Auditorium and Jer\u00f3nimo Cuervo Square. Face masks must be worn at all times during the concerts.&nbsp;\n\n<strong><em>Friday 6th November at 8:00pm<\/em><em>:<\/em><\/strong> Drummer <strong>Michael Olivera<\/strong> leads the <strong>Cuban Jazz Syndicate<\/strong> for the opening concert of the Festival. The audience will be able to enjoy these talented Cuban musicians who have been nominated for, and won, various Latin Grammy awards and who will take you on a musical voyage starting on the inland of Cuba and travelling through different parts of the world.\n\n<strong><em>Saturday 7th November at 7:00pm<\/em><\/strong>: Chano Dom\u00ednguez, a reference in flamenco jazz and Diego Amador, multi-instrumentalist, singer and composer from Seville, both masters of the piano, come together to share their impressive repertoires as well as to play classic flamenco masterpieces.&nbsp;\n\n<strong><em>Sunday 8th November at 7:00pm<\/em><\/strong>: Musician, composer and actor <strong>Kyle Eastwood<\/strong> (son of legendary Hollywood star Clint Eastwood) and considered one the world's best contemporary jazz double bass players will present his latest work, <em>Cinematic.<\/em> He'll be performing scores from some of the greatest films of all time with a jazz twist.&nbsp;\n\n<strong><em>Monday 9th November at 8:00pm<\/em><\/strong>: The union of two great musicians - the Cuban pianist <strong>Daniel Amat<\/strong> and Malaga Double Bassist <strong>Francis Pos\u00e9<\/strong> - and the collaboration of Argentine drummer <strong>Andr\u00e9s Litwin<\/strong> has led to the creation of <em>Hermano.&nbsp;<\/em>An original mix of harmonies and rhythms with a Latin and flamenco feel.\n\n<strong><em>Tuesday 10th November at 8:00pm<\/em><\/strong>: Malaga saxophonist <strong>Enrique Oliver<\/strong> will take to the stage of the Cervantes Theatre with his sextet made up of first class musicians and will present new and unique material. Free jazz, calypso, samba and 60's hard bop will all come together in a concert which will offer the viewer emotion as well and technical ability.\n\n<strong><em>Wednesday 11th November at 8:00pm<\/em><\/strong>: American vocalist <strong>Robin McKelle<\/strong> will dive deeply into the repertoire of some of the world's best-known musical divas... Dolly Parton, Amy Winehouse, Sade, Janis Joplin and Joni Mitchell amongst others. She will lend her voice to emblematic tunes through her unique vision and jazz style.\n\nAs we mentioned above, there will also be parallel programmes offering free jazz concerts throughout the city during the Festival. Here are some more details...\n<h2><strong>Festival de Jazz... en tu zona<\/strong><\/h2>\nA new addition to the M\u00e1laga Jazz Festival, 'Festival de Jazz... en tu zona' is a new programme which will bring free live jazz concerts to many of Malaga city's districts. The events programme hasn't been published yet but as soon as it's available, we'll post it here.\n\n&nbsp;\n<h2><strong>Malagajazz (free concerts)&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h2>\nThis year the Malaga International Jazz Festival will again be offering open-air acts (all of which are free to watch and listen to) turning the city's streets into a musical spectacle.&nbsp;\n\nMusicians from the United States, Cuba, Brazil, Argentina, Great Britain, Finland, Denmark, Holand or Japan (to name but a few) will flood the city's squares, restaurants, terraces, bars and hotels.
