Hundreds of thousands of people visit the city\u2019s Calle Larios to see the spectacular lights, and every year, we\u2019re treated to a more impressive display!<\/p>\n<p>This year is no exception with the town hall <strong>spending a whopping 573,201 Euros on the lights<\/strong>! This might seem like a lot but when you see the amount of people who show up at 6:30pm every day to watch the lights be switched on, you begin to understand why. Business is booming and the city has a real Christmassy feel to it.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>So\u2026 a visit to Calle Larios is definitely a must over the Christmas holidays. It\u2019s going to be packed but it really is worth it as the lights are gob-smackingly beautiful. Take your time strolling up Malaga\u2019s most iconic street and soak up the fun atmosphere as you listen to various bands playing typical Spanish Christmas songs and carols.<\/p>\n<p>At the top of Calle Larios you\u2019ll find the \u2018Plaza de la Constituci\u00f3n\u2019 with its gigantic and colourful Christmas tree and large stage area where live concerts and shows take place over the holidays. Great tapas and wines are served throughout the day at very reasonable prices. The <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sunsetbeachclub.com\/blog\/holiday-tips\/places-to-see\/malagas-new-ferris-wheel-offers-visitors-stunning-360o-panoramic-views-of-the-city\/\" target=\"_blank\">new Ferris Wheel<\/a>,<\/strong> the Cathedral, the Alcazaba fortress and the Gibralfaro Castle all make for superb holiday snaps.<\/p>\n<p>If you walk to the end of Muelle Uno, you\u2019ll come to <strong>\u2018La Farola de Malaga\u2019<\/strong>, the city\u2019s landmark lighthouse which towers over the port entrance.
