Mark Wardell, the hotel\u2019s General Manager, commented \u201cOur job is to provide an enjoyable experience in a fun and safe environment. One could say we are in the \u2018dream\u2019 business\u2019; the business of creating special memories. Our \u2018Sunset Breaks\u2019 initiative was started two years ago so that, together with the help of our generous guests, we could collect funds which go towards creating special memories for children who are battling serious illness\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Last Friday the 8<sup>th<\/sup> April, 2016, the hotel together with two of the Coast&#8217;s top entertainers, Ricky Lavazza and Johnny G, hosted a fantastic concert for the above charities in their Moonlight Theatre. \u00a0The<strong> \u2018Concert for the Kids\u2019<\/strong> attracted hundreds of local residents and hotel guests who turned up to watch the fun show.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/h6tLV7llNa4\" width=\"495\" height=\"275\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Through the entrance fee (10\u20ac) and the sale of raffle tickets during the show, the event managed to raise 2697.63\u20ac which added to the 4438.60\u20ac obtained from guest contributions\u00a0and the 3000\u20ac donated by Sunset Beach Club an amazing <strong>10,136.23\u20ac was raised.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This money will be divided equally amongst the 3 charities and contribute to creating special memories for children who are battling serious illnesses.<\/p>\n<p>From Sunset Beach Club we\u2019d like to thank everyone who made this possible, especially our kind and generous guests who donated money, the Sunset Beach Club animation team who have been actively involved in this project.
