The area offers something for all levels. Beginners and leisure riders can enjoy the relative flatness of the stunning promenade. More experienced riders or a beginners with hybrid bikes<\/a>, who are looking for more of a challenge can head into the hills behind Benalmadena and attempt one of the harder bike routes (see below) which will take them along narrow mountain paths offering stunning views of the coast.<\/p>\n

Where to rent a bike in Benalmadena<\/strong><\/h2>\n

You\u2019ll obviously have to rent a bike whilst you\u2019re in Benalmadena<\/strong> and whilst there are a few places you could do this, it really depends on your needs.<\/p>\n

At Sunset Beach Club<\/strong> we offer guests two options: If you\u2019re just looking to spend a couple of hours riding along the promenade with the family, taking in the views and stopping every now and then to enjoy a refreshment or a tapa, you can hire a bike from Boyd\u2019s Gym on the first floor of the hotel.<\/p>\n

If you\u2019re looking for a more professional bike or want to go on an organised cycling excursion, we\u2019ve recently started working with our friends at Fast Monkey<\/u><\/strong> who have a fantastic selection of bikes for hire. (See below)<\/p>\n

Types of Bikes available + prices<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Boyd\u2019s Gym have standard bikes suitable for adults and children and the prices are as follows:<\/p>\n

Daily Hire:<\/em> \u20ac10 per day<\/strong><\/p>\n

3 Days:<\/em> \u20ac27<\/strong><\/p>\n

7 Days:<\/em> \u20ac50<\/strong><\/p>\n

A deposit of \u20ac50 is required per bike or a picture ID such as driving license or passport can be left. All bikes come with a lock and helmet and a disclaimer must be signed by all customers.<\/p>\n

The guys at Fast Monkey offer a fantastic selection of bikes for rent. From standard city bikes to battery-powered e-bikes \u2013 for those who need a little help \u2013 and more advanced and professional mountain and road bikes.<\/p>\n

Cycling routes in Benalmadena<\/strong><\/h2>\n

You\u2019ll find hundreds of cycling routes in and around Benalmadena to suit all levels from smooth and gentle pathways ideal for all the Family to steeper and more abrupt trails for more experienced and thrill-seeking mountain bikers.<\/p>\n

If you head over to the Wikiloc website<\/u><\/strong><\/a> you\u2019ll find literally hundreds of possible cycling routes with detailed information. You\u2019ll find photos, distance, approximate times for completion, difficulty level and, most importantly, a detailed map of each trail using Google maps and GPS coordinates uploaded by other cyclists. There\u2019s plenty to keep you busy!<\/p>\n
