The objective of making the city a gastronomic reference is slowly becoming a reality with yearly growth in terms of content for the festival and the level of chefs taking part.<\/p>\n<p>Visitors will be able to enjoy <strong>debates, food tasting, movies, photographic exhibitions, workshops, show cooking and lots more<\/strong>. It\u2019s a festival which serves as a showcase to the areas gastronomic heritage and culture attracting food lovers of all ages and with varied tastes.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The undisputed star of the festival, and the foundation of the area&#8217;s gastronomy is the fresh produce and ingredients sourced locally and used to cook amazing dishes you\u2019ll have the opportunity of tasting when you visit the festival. Exotic fresh fruits and vegetables such as Mangos and avocados from the Axarqu\u00eda area of M\u00e1laga; the fresh seafood the Coast is famous for; the bread, cheeses and exquisite virgin olive oil, and of course, Malaga\u2019s spectacular wines, are all ingredients which will feature in the dishes prepared by participating chefs.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/fZguhl8GpnU\" width=\"760\" height=\"450\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><span data-mce-type=\"bookmark\" style=\"display: inline-block; width: 0px; overflow: hidden; line-height: 0;\" class=\"mce_SELRES_start\">\ufeff<\/span><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h2><strong>A Taste of Ja\u00e9n<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>This year, the festival features the province of Ja\u00e9n as the featured destination. Various activities have been planned in Plaza de la Marina, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Workshops &#8211; An introduction to Ja\u00e9n&#8217;s Virgin Olive Oil<\/li>\n<li>Show cooking mixing the best dishes and food from M\u00e1laga and Ja\u00e9n<\/li>\n<li>Masterclass featuring Ja\u00e9n&#8217;s Game meats and wines<\/li>\n<li>Ja\u00e9n wine and cheese tasting<\/li>\n<li>Popular food tasting where chefs and producers from Ja\u00e9n will prepare food for 1000 people to promote one of their most popular dishes: Segue\u00f1o Lamb<\/li>\n<li>Live music<\/li>\n<li>And lots more\u2026<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><strong>Show Cooking<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>During the festival, you&#8217;ll be able to enjoy amazing show cooking demonstrations from top local chefs as well as chefs from Ja\u00e9n, the rest of Spain and Andalusia. Antonio Afaro Guerrero, Abilio Arteaga, Pedro S\u00e1nchez (1 Michelin Star) and Juan Carlos Trujillo and just some of the top chefs taking part.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>La Marina Street Food<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Perhaps one of the most eagerly awaited moments of the festival is the start of <strong>La Marina Street Food, a gastronomic space located in the \u2018Plaza la Marina\u2019<\/strong>, just next to the port.
