This Sunday\u00a022nd June 2025, Benalm\u00e1dena will celebrate Corpus Christi<\/strong>, a gorgeous festivity full of colour and amazing aromas thanks to a spectacular carpet of flowers laid on the streets by the villagers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


This beautiful festivity is celebrated in many Andalusian villages sixty days after Easter Sunday; however, Benalmadena Pueblo\u2019s rendition is now regarded as one of the most beautiful in the province, attracting many visitors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

The town is almost ready for this year\u2019s celebrations, all that remains is the impressive carpet of flowers that the villagers will lay on the streets during the early hours of Sunday morning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you\u2019ve never visited Benalmadena Pueblo during the Corpus Christi celebrations, we highly recommend you take a trip up to the village this Sunday. Just make sure you get there before 12:00pm (it’s actually better to get there before 11:00am just to make sure) as this is when the procession starts and the flower arrangements get destroyed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s the perfect setting as all the houses are decorated with colourful \u2018mantones\u2019 (a type of blanket) hanging from the balconies, the streets are covered with gorgeous scented flowers and, during the processions, multicoloured flower petals are thrown from the balconies by the villagers<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There will be processions and flower-laden streets with stunning designs and patterns in Benalmadena Pueblo (the old village) as well as in Benalm\u00e1dena Costa and Arroyo de la Miel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The times of the processions are estimated as it depends on when mass finishes. as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Benalm\u00e1dena Pueblo<\/em><\/strong> (Leaving Plaza del Aguacil) Mass at 11:00am and procession at 12:00pm<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Benalm\u00e1dena Costa<\/em><\/strong> (Leaving from Virgen del Carmen church): Mass at 12:00pm and procession at 13:00pm<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Arroyo de la Miel<\/em><\/strong> (Leaving from Inmaculada Concepci\u00f3n church): Mass at 7:00pm and procession at 8:00pm<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Many important personalities from Benalmadena, including the mayor, will take part in the processions carrying traditional palm leaves. You\u2019ll also see many young boys and girls, who are celebrating their first communion, taking part in this breathtaking event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
