The Town Hall spends a fortune on the Christmas lights \u2013 <strong>this year\u2019s budget is a staggering \u20ac1,5 million (and most of that is for Calle Larios alone)<\/strong> \u2013 and the results speak for themselves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Below you can see a video of the electrifying show from a few years ago featuring hundreds of thousands of LED lights and Christmas songs to accompany the light show. Pretty impressive, isn\u2019t it?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"As\u00ed ha sido el encendido de las luces de Navidad de la calle Larios\" width=\"1080\" height=\"608\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/o_NQ_NHQR9A?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>This year\u2019s show in Calle Larios will see the giant angels that have decorated the street for the last three years be replaced by nativity scenes embedded in large stars. The photo at the start of this post gives you a good idea of what to expect. This new show is called &#8216;Una Natividad de Luz&#8217; (A Nativity of Light).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the light and music shows, you\u2019ll be able to watch the special LED lights \u2018dance\u2019 to the sounds of Christmas tracks:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-vivid-red-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-8e2f8e8756b27c7078ac40a4676b4b61\">Please note that we are still waiting for confirmation of this year&#8217;s tunes as well as specific show times. The ones below were from a previous Christmas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Jingle Bells &#8211; <\/strong>Johann Strauss Orchestra<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>We wish you a Merry Christmas<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Carol of the Bells<\/strong> by Pentatonix<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Navidad \u00c9pica<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Hacia Bel\u00e9n va una Burra<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The official switching-on of the lights takes place on Friday 28th November 2025 at 18:30h.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Each show lasts between 2 and 3 minutes and can be watched each day at 6:30pm, 8:30pm and 10:00pm (except for the 24th and 31st December) and is sure to be the high point of your visit to M\u00e1laga City Centre over Christmas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Other Fun Things to Look Forward To<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image wp-image-6956 size-full\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"320\" height=\"569\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sunsetbeachclub.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/Christmas-Tree-in-Malaga.jpg\" alt=\"Christmas tree in Plaza de la Constitucion\" class=\"wp-image-6956\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.sunsetbeachclub.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/Christmas-Tree-in-Malaga.jpg 320w, https:\/\/www.sunsetbeachclub.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/Christmas-Tree-in-Malaga-169x300.jpg 169w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 320px) 100vw, 320px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">One of the many large Christmas trees you&#8217;ll see on your visit to M\u00e1laga<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Video Mapping on the South Face of the Cathedral<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Another of the highlights this Christmas will be the video mapping projections&nbsp;on the south face of Malaga Cathedral. Using ultra-modern laser technology, spectators will be treated to an amazing and unique 2D and 3D&nbsp; laser and music show called &#8216;el Pescador de Sue\u00f1os&#8217; (The Fisherman of Dreams).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The shows take place every day at 7:00pm, 8:30pm and 10:00pm from 1st December to 4th January (except the 24th and 31st December) and last approximately 8 or 9 minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Enchanted Forest on the main Alameda <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This year we&#8217;ll be able to once again enjoy the stunning design on the main Alameda (Main street between Calle Larios and the port). A web of lights hung in between the trees will create a magical atmosphere inspired in an enchanted forest, which visitors will be able to enjoy during the day and at night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here\u2019s a fun challenge for you\u2026 see if you can make your way around Malaga and take a photo (selfie) of yourself at as many of the Christmas decorations as possible.
