Torremolinos\u2019 famous \u2018Parque de la Bater\u00eda\u2019 will host a fantastic live music event this summer: The Summer Jazz Festival 2024<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n

During July and August, you can enjoy four free concerts featuring artists from Germany, England, Cuba and Spain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event organiser, Javier Salinas from the Clarence Jazz Club, stated that <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe concerts seek the diversity of genres within jazz itself with an international focus\u201d.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Salinas also added that this year’s festival will also feature short performances from locally-based violinist Konstantin Merezhnikov, as well as a diverse gastronomic offering with a selection of food trucks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Monday 8th<\/sup> July<\/em><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Ralph Moore Quintet<\/strong> will take to the stage with a more contemporary jazz style. Moore recorded and toured in the 80s and early 90s with some of the genre’s greatest artists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Monday 22nd<\/sup> July<\/em><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Pedro Pablo & Three Cuban Jazz Feat Andiley Mojena<\/strong>. A Cuban musician with a long and impressive musical career whose objective is to share an experience of a performance in which the real protagonist is the true sound of Cuban Jazz from the golden years of the 30s, 40s and 50s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Monday 5th<\/sup> August<\/em><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

German band \u2018The Sazerac Swingers\u2019 take to the stage and will take us back to the 20\u2019s, the era when jazz music started to take over dance clubs all over the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Monday 19th<\/sup> August<\/em><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Spanish group \u2018Swing For Five\u2019 will take us through the soundtrack of the 20th<\/sup> century, offering tunes that form part of the basic jazz repertoire because they were written for cinema or because the musicians transformed it into jazz. Some of the tracks they will play belong to classics like Pinocchio or the Wizard of Oz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
