The Costa del Sol enjoys a mild climate all year round, but the personality of this part of Southern Spain very much changes according to the season. This is due to changes in the profile of visitors, as much as because of differing weather!
In the Summer time and during school holidays, Sunset Beach Club is popular with families, and is the ideal place to mix a bit of relaxation with some great fun and entertainment for all the family! A holiday which mixes the convenience of self catering with bars and restaurants is a winning combination, where our apartments offer great value for up to 4 persons sharing, and our summer activities programmes and live entertainment are sure to keep everyone amused!
In the Autumn, the golfers tend to start their descent on the Costa del Golf, which is also a popular season for site-seeing and excursions, as temperatures are slightly cooler than the height of July and August. The time of year also sees the local town “ferias”, where horse parades can be seen in the streets by day, and amusement parks open in the evenings, and there is traditional partying until the early hours.
Winter is a popular time for couples and groups, who are able to travel off season, and wish to enjoy a more laid-back holiday. This is also a great time of year to take advantage of the fantastic winter offers we have at Sunset Beach Club, which start at an incredible 28€ per person per night including breakfast! No wonder our guests stay longer! During the Christmas and New Year break, we pull out all the stops to celebrate this special time of year.
But for many, the best time of year to visit Benalmádena Costa is during the Spring. Indeed April and May generally see mild sunny days, where a vest or short-sleeved t-shirt and shorts are the order of the day, and eating al fresco is a must! The Easter Processions of Malaga are a fantastic experience, where literally thousands of Malagueños take to the streets to participate in the processions. In May you can also visit the “Cruces de Mayo” (May Crosses) in Torremolinos and Malaga.
