UPDATE: After a long 4-month delay due to problems with the road access to the shopping centre, Designer Outlet Malaga will finally open to the public in Thursday 13th February 2020.
Shopaholics will be delighted to know that McArthurGlen will be opening Designer Outlet Málaga on the 13th February 2020, the first shopping destination of its kind in Spain.
The 17,750 metre squared shopping centre will be located next to the famous Plaza Mayor Shopping centre next to Málaga airport and a short 20-minute drive from Sunset Beach Club.
Visitors will enjoy up to 70% off retail prices from 100 of their favourite designer and luxury brand stores.
“The open-air McArthurGlen development has been conceived to sympathetically reflect Andalusian architecture of the region. The verdant landscape features open-air walkways and running water fountains, all leading to a centralised luxury plaza and imaginative children’s playground – perfectly designed for shopping at leisure.”
Some of the brands you’ll find at Designer Outlet Málaga include Adidas, Calvin Klein, Diesel, Escada, Karl Lagerfeld, Lacoste, Levi’s, Polo Ralph Lauren, Puma, Scalpers, Tommy Hilfiger, Under Armour and many more!
On the opening day visitors will be able to visit 38 brand stores at the outlet with the remaining stores due to be opened over the next few weeks.
The new shopping centre will also feature a sculpture by acclaimed British equestrian artist Nic Fiddian-Green. Titled ‘Fire’, and representing the head of a horse, this stunning work of art is one of the artists most famous sculptures.
Shoppers will also be able to enjoy food and refreshments in one of the many outlets located in the new shopping centre, including a Starbucks Café.
Sunset Beach Club guests who would like to visit the new Designer Outlet Malaga take the train from Arroyo de la Miel station or grab a taxi from just outside the hotel.
