The “Stupa” is the largest Buddhist temple in the western world and we are lucky enough to have it right here in Benalmadena! The Buddhist temple is open to visitors Tuesday through to Friday and the best bit is, entrance is free!

Famous for the high-life, fast cars and big yachts, Puerto Banús is located about 40 minutes from Sunset Beach Club, and there is still a good chance you will see celebrities strolling around here – although perhaps not as much as in the 80’s and 90’s. This bustling port offers a great mixture of designer shops and market stalls alongside the harbour, where you can also find some great restaurants and nightclubs which are open until dawn.

Benalmádena Port is a fabulous facility located just a few minutes from Sunset Beach Club, which hosts a wide range of activities, including boat rides, fishing trips, dolphin watching trips, a large shopping centre, evening entertainment and of course great seafood.

The processions of Holy Week in Andalucia are spectacular. Each day during the week of that important religious festival in Fuengirola, as in all other Andalucian towns and villages, streets are cordoned off and massive, ornate icons are held high, with images of Christ and the Virgin at the different stages of the cross. This is a great time of the year to visit the Costa del Sol.

Marbella town centre is approximately 30 minutes from Sunset Beach Club. The famous Orange Square is located in the heart of the old town, where tiny cobbled streets are lined with designer stores, souvenir shops, and some great shoe shops. Obviously it wouldn’t be Spain without a few bars and restaurants, and you will also find an abundance of these – spit and sawdust tapas bars down tiny alleyways, street cafés and a selection of excellent international restaurants.
