For those of you who haven’t visited the Luna Mora Festival in Guaro, we thought we’d post a few photos of this fantastic event held every September in this beautiful Andalusian village.
If you are ever on the Costa del Sol for a holiday during the month of September, we highly recommend you take a drive up to Guaro during their Luna Mora Festival, a unique event featuring the best of andalusian culture.

Next weekend cricket teams from England and Spain will go head to head for the Costa del Sol Charity Cricket Festival. This fantastic competition will take place on the 27th, 28th and 29th September at the Cartama Oval.
Organised by Sports World Spain, the festival aims to raise funds for the Cudeca Cancer Care Hospice and the development of cricket in the local schools and colleges.
Each day from 12 noon to 6pm cricket fans and families can go along to the Cartama Oval and enjoy a great day of cricket for FREE! Â There will also be a Mega Raffle with some great prizes to be won including: A luxury weekend break at Sunset Beach Club (:-)); lunch for two at Nueva Kaskada Restaurant including wine; a days labour from Ozbuild; a pony trekking experience from Rancho del RĂo; a 2010 Ipswich Town Football shirt signed by the squad â including Roy Keane â and lots more goodies!

Next week sees the start of Torremolinoâs yearly festivities with the âFeria de San Miguelâ. The Town Hall has once again prepared a full and varied programme of events and activities aimed at all age groups. Young children, teenagersm adults and pensioners are all catered for during the âFeriaâ.
Officially the fair starts on Wednesday the 26th September and ends on Sunday the 30th September; however, the celebrations start on Sunday the 23rd September with the traditional âRomerĂa de San Miguelâ.
Hereâs a link to the official programme for the Torremolinos Fair. As itâs pretty detailed, weâve put together a list of 11 of the most interesting events and activities taking place during the âFeriaâ⌠here goes:
1)Â Â Â Â Â Classic cars concentration in the Plaza Blas Infante on Saturday 22nd September at 9:30 am.
2)Â Â Â Â Â Romeria de San Miguel at 10 am on Sunday 23rd September. 69 Carts and carriages will take place in this traditional procession which will start at the Los Palacios Urbanisation and finish up at the âPinar de los Manantialesâ area of Torremolinos. (more…)

If youâre a nature lover and enjoy a little peace and tranquillity (at least once in a while) during your holidays, we highly recommend you visit the âLa Concepcionâ Botanical Gardens in Malaga.
Located just north of the city centre, these vast and spectacular gardens are now part of the âCiudad de Malagaâ (Malaga City) Municipal Botanical Trust.
A walk through its colourful gardens will allow you to enjoy an exquisite collection of plants and flora from all over the world. (more…)

16 artists on stage...
Itâs almost a year since we welcomed the âArcos de Buenos Airesâ company to out Moonlight Theatre for their first Tango Show. The success of their unique mix of Tango and Argentinian Folk music (Performed by a string chamber orchestra) brought them back to Sunset Beach Club in May and on the 14th of September they will once again be delighting guests and locals with their new show âLa Reina del Plataâ.
Artistic Director, Walter O. Tejeda Carranza has once again put together a beautiful show with 16 artists performing on stage, including professional tango dancers and a string chamber orchestra. The âReina del Plataâ Tango Show will take place in the Moonlight Theatre on Friday 14th September 2012. The show starts at 9pm and tickets are just âŹ10; these can be purchased at the door on the night or at the Sunset Beach Club Leisure desk.
