A trip into Málaga’s city centre is a must for all who visit the Costa del Sol and, as from last month, there’s a new star attraction which you’ll need to add to your list of places to see: The Terraces of Málaga Cathedral.

Opened to the general public last month, these new terraces are located almost fifty metres above sea level and offer visitors stunning views over the city and a great perspective of the famous Alcazaba fortress. If you don’t mind the 200 step climb, this really is a unique experience which allows you to walk over an area of the cathedral that has never been open to the public and where you’ll be able to take spectacular photos of the city. Malaga’s New Pompidou Centre: A Journey Through the History of Contemporary Art 

New Pompidou Centre in MalagaIt’s official, Malaga is now the first city in the world (outside of France) to house a ‘Pop-up’ Pompidou art centre.

This new Contemporary art museum is located within the famous ‘Cube’ structure in Malaga’s Muelle Uno waterfront. Considering the number of visitors passing through its doors during the opening weekend – more than 6000 people – the museum’s success is practically guaranteed.

The new Pompidou Centre offers a unique itinerary which takes visitors on a voyage of discovery through art of the 20th and 21st century. Approximately 90 works of art, selected from the Pompidou Centre’s outstanding collection, line the walls and halls of ‘The Cube’. (more…)
