Fuengirola 'City Tour' Tourist Train
For just over a month now, our neighbouring town, Fuengirola, has been enjoying a new attraction: The ‘City tour’ Tourist Train.
This new tourist train service will allow visitors to easily make their way around the town’s most emblematic tourist attractions and landmarks including the Roman Ruins, the main sea front promenade, the fabulous beaches and Bioparc (Our favourite :-)). One of the highlights of this new service is its’ ‘hop-on hop-off’ system which allows the user to jump on and off as often as they like throughout the day. (more…)

Many of our guests are avid football fans and often enquire about Malaga FC’s home games. Going to one of Malaga’s home games is a great afternoon out and the atmosphere at the La Rosaleda stadium is absolutely amazing.
The club’s amazing run of form in the Spanish league and their recent (last night!) qualification for the knock out stages of the Champions League means that their popularity is set to soar to new heights!
So we’ve decided to put together a list of Malaga FC’s home games for this season in case you fancy heading down to watch a live game whilst you are here on holiday. The big games against Real Madrid and Barcelona will be played over the Christmas period (22nd December and 13th January) but tickets are selling fast so if you plan on going we’d recommend you buy your tickets ASAP! Benalmadena Sightseeing Bus
One of the activities we tend to recommend to guests who stay with us is a guided tour of Benalmadena on the sightseeing tourist bus. This is undoubtedly the best way to see all the great attractions Benalmadena has to offer its visitors.
Last week the local council announced that it had introduced a new route to the tourist bus, one that includes a visit to Benalmadena Town (the one up in the mountains) and all its cultural treats. This new itinerary includes the impressive Buddhist Temple, the Butterfly Park, the ‘Felipe Orlando’ Pre-columbine museum and the uniqueness of a typical andalusian village with its white buildings and narrow cobbled streets. Music under the stars...
The warm summer evenings on the Costa del Sol become a little more bearable with the fantastic evening exhibition which our friends at Selwo Marina have prepared for this summer.
As from last Saturday 16th July – and until the 31st August – visitors to this magical park will be able to enjoy a spectacular dolphin exhibition accompanied by a selection of classic and contemporary melodies. A violin and saxophone duet will play tunes that’ll have the spectators and the stars of the show – Zeus, Tonet, Rumbo, Astro, Romeo and Bravo (Selwo’s dolphin family) dancing under the stars!
The music and dolphin acrobatics will be accompanied by a specially designed show of light and colour which will fill the night sky.
The show starts at 10:30pm every evening and is priced at €20 per adult and €15 per child (aged 3 to 9 years); however, we recommend you take advantage of the great special offer available which allows you to enjoy access to the dolphin show and a meal at one of the parks fast food outlets for just €2 more per person; that’s a total of €22 for adults and €17 for children. 🙂

Just some of the great artists playing on the Costa del Sol this summer
At the start of last summer we wrote a blog post highlighting the main music concerts on the Costa del Sol over the summer. Well, it proved so popular that we’ve decided to do the same for this summer 2012 season!
If you are on holiday on the Costa del Sol– or indeed if you live here permanently – it’s always nice to know what’s happening on the concert scene over the summer. I know many of our guests at Sunset Beach Club are more than happy with our great live music and entertainment shows in our Moonlight Theatre (shameless plug!) but there are many guests who also like to get out and see some of the Coast; a good concert is a great excuse for this 🙂

It’s that time of year again! Arroyo de la Miel in Benalmadena is getting ready for its annual San Juan Festivities; a fun packed week full of great food; lots of drink; music and flamenco dancing!
If you’re here on holiday from the 24th to the 29th June (2012) we highly recommend you take a trip up to the fair and experience the fun atmosphere of a true Spanish “Feria”.
As with most local festivities, the San Juan Fair in Arroyo de la Miel is split into two: A day fair (form 12pm to 7pm) which is located in the centre of town and a night fair which is located just above Paloma Park. (more…)
