Last week, 40 golfers from the Dublin Gas Golf Society stayed with us at Sunset. It was a short break for the lads (3 Nights), however, they managed to squeeze in 3 rounds of golf at our sister Resort of La Cala, and a little night life too!!!(The photo was taken on the Friday morning, just before boarding the bus that would take them to the golf course – as you may notice there aren’t quite 40 in the photo, I guess they had a bit of a late night!).

Although the weather wasn’t as good as we would have wished for, yesterday’s wedding went very well and was enjoyed by all; someone certainly must have enjoyed themselves as we found a very nice pair of shoes next to Reception this morning! (See photo below) Anyone know who they belong to?

The shoes somehow made their way to the bay window area next to Reception and have remained there all day. Now before anyone has a go at the housekeeping team for not removing them, we actually decided to leave them there and see if the owner decided to retrieve them, but nothing yet….. probably a little embarrassed! 😉
It really is our very own Cinderella story as yesterday’s wedding even had a horse and carriage to take the bride and groom to the church. Not sure if they turned in to a pumpkin and mice at the end of the night but those shoes are definitely still looking for an owner!

Sunset Beach Club Stand at the exhibition
At the recent Wedding & Honeymoon Show at the RDS Exhibition Centre in Dublin, we held a competition to win a Romantic Winter Break for two people here at Sunset Beach Club.
The competition proved very popular with over 350 people entering the prize draw which was held here at the hotel on the 10th September.
The lucky winners are Natasha Cray and Gary Thornton!
Congratulations to both of you and we hope to see you at Sunset Beach Club in the very near future!

Annemie & Melissa
It’s that time of year again! Summer is nearing its end and our commercial team are getting ready for another season of Exhibitions throughout Europe.
Next Friday the 3rd September, Annemie and Melissa will be packing their bags and heading off to Dublin for the Wedding & Honeymoon Show at the RDS in Dublin. They’ll have a busy weekend promoting our fantastic wedding packages at the show, but will hopefully have a little free time to see the sights of Dublin!
Open to the public – albeit for a small entrance fee – the show opens on Saturday morning (11.30am). Visitors will have access to almost 200 professionals dedicated to help future brides and grooms prepare for their special day.
If you are planning to attend the show or are in the area, please stop by and say Hi to Annemie and Melissa! And whilst you are there, you can enter the prize draw for a romantic holiday at Sunset Beach Club; 3 nights accommodation including breakfast and a romantic meal for two in our fabulous Oasis restaurant……sounds good doesn’t it?

A Tribute to Grease
Our on-site entertainment team have been working hard for weeks preparing their new show; A tribute to Grease. Last week was the premiere and from what we’ve heard the Rocio and her team have done a great job; the show was packed! If you missed the show last week, don’t panic; the show will be on every Friday evening over the summer at our Moonlight Bar here at Sunset Beach Club. Join Danny, Sandy and the rest of the T-Birds and Pink Ladies for an evening of great music and dancing! The show starts at 10:30 pm and entrance is free. Just make sure you get there early so you get a good seat!
