Last week saw the Junior Masters tournement take place at our sister resort just down the coast, La Cala Golf Resort. This competition is in it’s 6th year and takes places annually on 3rd and 4th January. Teams from all over Spain competed and this year we were lucky enough to accomodate the players here at Sunset Beach Club, where the gala dinner awards presentation was also held, announcing Galicia as this year’s winning team! If you live here on the Coast then you will have no doubt heard how fantastic the Wow Factor went, both this year and last year, the Costa del Sol’s very own version of the famous X Factor! With a variety of great acts including Sapphire, 4Shure, Saskia Fraas, Corrine Cooper, Christian Fa and many many more, it is hardly surprising the show was such a success! So that’s why we are bringing them together once more for another fantastic night of entertainment, and better still it’s right here at the Moonlight Cabaret Bar! This weekend saw another successful Over 50’s Show in Estepona. For the third year running the Palacio de Congresos was filled with a mixture of nationalities, most visiting from the local area, but some from all over the Costa del Sol. There was a high participation of local exhibitors including hospitals, banks, estate agents, excursion agencies and much more. A great weekend for anyone who attended or exhibited!

The first English speaking wedding show on the Costa del Sol took place last weekend. The Perfect Wedding Expo was held at the Palacio de la Paz in the Fuengirola fairground. It was the first wedding fair I have attended and I was pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere and the great turn-out of both exhibitors and visitors. There were suppliers present for everything from delicious chcoolate fountains, beautiful wedding dress and evening gown designs to diamonds and jewellery as well as florists, planners and photographers, making it the one stop shop for any bride to be, planning their wedding on the coast. Myself, Claire – our wedding co ordinator and Kerry – our wedding planner looked after the Sunset Beach Club stand, click here to take a look at our stand!
