Another one of the Spanish Summer holidays will take place on the Costa del Sol this week. Thursday 16th of July is the official holiday for Día de Nuestra Señora del Carmen, however the festivities of Virgen del Carmen are celebrated on the night of the 15th July, where the virgen is carried through the towns of Benalmadena, Fuengirola and many others and then sent out to sea with a parade of fishing boats.

Ann Marie and Darren are getting married in Benalmadena this afternoon and will then be celebrating their wedding reception with us here at Sunset Beach Club later on this evening. Their gala dinner will be served in the Moonlight room and they will then enjoy a flamenco show followed by a disco!
Once again this Summer we will be offering an Evening kid’s club which will be starting tomorrow from 6.30pm – 9.00pm! This fantastic facility giving parents a night off is available 3 nights per week, for children aged 5-12 years and for just 6€ including dinner. Evening activities include mini bingo, face painting, drawing contest, disney films and much more!
Karen and Stephen will be getting married with a beachfront blessing this afternoon right here at Sunset Beach Club!
Mmmm…check out the profiterole tower! Lorna and Derek have opted for this as their dessert rather than your average wedding cake! Looks absolutely delicious! What lucky guests they have!
I have just printed off Lorna & Dereks’s personalized wedding menus and set them out on the tables up in our Sala Malaga. The couple will be getting married later on today and then returning to the hotel to celebrate their wedding reception later on it the evening.
