We’ve put together a list of – what we consider to be – the best things to do with kids in Benalmádena. Whilst most of the attractions and activities recommended here are located in Benalmadena, there are a couple (Aqualand and Bioparc) which are in neighbouring towns but which need to be included on this list as they’re some of our favourites!
This traditional festivity of colourful fun, singing and dancing which starts on the 2nd February 2026, and goes on until Sunday 15th February 2026, offers local residents and visitors a full events programme with activities and entertainment to suit all ages.

The fun-packed programme takes place in Benalmadena Pueblo and in Arroyo de la Miel; however, to save you the hassle of deciding what to see, we’ve taken the liberty of putting together a few suggestions…
In the afternoon of Monday 5th January, kids all over Spain will be lining the streets of all the main towns and cities to watch the traditional Three Kings Parades.
This is the highlight of the Christmas festivities and a must-watch for anyone visiting at this magical time of year. Many of our guests like to venture into town and watch the colourful parades so we’ve put together this blog post highlighting some of our favourite processions with timetables and the exact locations of each. All you have to do is choose the most appealing to you!
Although not the high season here in Benalmadena, Christmas time offers lots of interesting things to keep the whole family entertained.
Our guests often ask us for recommendations on things to do at this time of year so we’ve decided to put together this list which includes activities and specific places you can visit during the holidays. Although the title of this post specifically states Benalmadena, you’ll find that our list wanders a little further down the Coast; that being said, all of these places are well connected by public transport.

From Thursday 28th August to Sunday 31st August 2025, Benalmádena Pueblo (the old town) will host the latest edition of its Arabian Market (Zoco), an event which, once again, returns to the town’s summer cultural programme.
The Arabian Market will be spread out throughout various locations, running from Calle Real to Plaza del Aguacil and Plaza de las Tres Culturas. Aimed to promote the town’s beauty and charm, the town hall hopes this unique event will once again attract tourists from all over the Coast.
The ‘Virgen del Carmen‘ celebrations take place in Benalmadena Marina from next Sunday 13th July, 2025.
The Benalmadena town hall has prepared various events which will take place on Sunday 13th, Monday 14th, Tuesday 15th, and Wednesday 16th July, including a wonderful procession through the streets of Benalmádena Costa in which the fishermen will carry their ‘Stella Maris’ to the Marina. She’ll be lifted aboard a boat and paraded along the Benalmadena coastline (weather permitting).
If you’ve got some good binoculars, a great place to watch this is from the terrace in our Panorama Bar here at Sunset Beach Club or from the promenade just in front of the hotel. (more…)
