Are you thinking of visiting Malaga city centre? Forget the busy train, the packed bus or trying to find a parking space in the mad city centre… just go on a fun ferry ride from Benalmadena Marina to Malaga Port.The trip only takes an hour and you get the added bonus of enjoying the stunning views of the coastline.

You’ll be jumping aboard a super modern and fast catamaran with capacity for up to 250 people. The ferry has two decks, an upper open deck (great for soaking up some sun) and a cooler and more protected interior deck. As you’d expect, there is also a full bar service so that you can enjoy a refreshing drink as you cruise into Malaga port! (more…)

We’re delighted to, once again, collaborate with the Volvo National Club Challenge, the UK’s largest amateur charity golf competition, supporting and helping members of the Armed Forces through the Help for Heroes Charity.

Last year’s event was a great success and Sunset Beach Club was delighted to contribute by donating a fantastic 3 night winter break as one of the prizes. Well, we highly recommend you read on as we’ll be outlining everything you need to know about traffic fines in Spain and how to avoid them!

Your car hire company will charge you for the traffic fine

Many tourists and holiday makers are often under the impression that they are exempt from traffic fines whilst driving in Madrid; however, according to this traffic violation attorney Fort Lauderdale, this is a big mistake. If you are in a hire car and are caught speeding or committing any other offence, the fine will be sent to the car rental company who will then pass the charge on to you. Don’t be surprised if you also find an extra charge for administrative expenses as the car rental company has to go through the process of identifying the driver and making the payment to the Traffic Department. You could be looking at an extra 20 to 30 Euros on top of the fine! (more…)

The 6th Edition of the Fuengirola Beer Festival: from the 3rd to 17th August

Fiesta de la Cerveza Fuengirola 2013The 6th edition of Fuengirola’s Beer Festival starts today (3rd August) in the town’s emblematic Sohail Castle. For two weeks – until the 17th August – all who visit the Festival will enjoy the fun atmosphere of the Costa del Sol’s very own Oktoberfest.

Special marquees and tables have been set up where visitors can try typical German dishes, sample a fantastic selection of Bavarian beers and listen to live music. 

The Fuengirola Beer Festival is open to the public from 7.00pm to 02.00am on week days and from 12.00pm to 02.00am at weekends.

Travellers Can Now Enjoy Free Wi-Fi Access at Malaga Airport

If you are regular visitor to the Costa del Sol you’ll know that – up until now – accessing Málaga airport’s Wi-Fi network meant paying for the privilege.

Well, you’ll be delighted to know that as of last week, that is no longer the case as passengers can now enjoy 15 minutes of FREE Wi-Fi access. Granted, it’s not the ideal scenario (read: Free unlimited Wi-Fi); however, it beats having to pay to check the latest bus time tables, making a quick Skype call to let someone know you’ve arrived, sending a Whatsapp message or simply checking the latest news from your favourite online newspaper.
