Last week, I spent a pleasant afternoon chatting to Michael and Breda Quinn, loyal guests who have been coming to Sunset Beach Club for over 20 years! Our hotel becomes their home at least 3 times a year (March, June & October) when they grab the Aer Lingus flight from Dublin to Málaga and head to Sunset to enjoy a relaxing sunny break at their favourite hotel.
I like to meet guests and hear about their experiences at our hotel; it’s these conversations that provide extremely valuable feedback that helps us in our efforts to continually improve our customer experience.
After spending a few minutes enjoying the jaw-dropping views from their apartment (see photo below) I asked Michael and Breda a simple question:
“What do you like most about Sunset Beach Club?”
In summarised bullet form, here’s what they answered (not necessarily in order of importance):
- The location of the hotel is second to none – practically over-looking the sea, with beaches on either side, it’s absolutely perfect!
- The apartments are a nice size and are always spotless.
- The staff are so friendly and helpful, they always go out of their way to help, nothing is too much. We always feel at home when we come.
- The security; we like to feel safe when we travel abroad. The security within the hotel is fantastic and the surrounding areas also make us feel at ease.
- We don’t have to leave the hotel if we don’t want to; the excellent facilities provide us with all we need such as a supermarket, restaurants and entertainment.

A few weeks ago, I asked our Facebook fans to describe Sunset Beach Club in one word… the response was unbelievable!
I was expecting a couple of fans to answer but was pleasantly surprised when I logged in to our Facebook account the following morning to find that 79 people had submitted the one word which they felt best described our hotel.
Instead of just listing all 79 words, I thought it would be fun to create a Word Cloud; a more visually pleasing way to read the wonderful words our guests and fans used to describe Sunset Beach Club.

Winter is just around the corner and we’re getting ready for a change of pace here at Sunset Beach Club as we welcome travellers looking to relax and soak up the Costa del Sol’s winter sun. This weekend, our Commercial Team will be heading to Dublin to attend the “Over 50’s Show” at the RDS; this is a show that we attend on a yearly basis and is a great way for us to promote our fantastic Winter Sun Packages to this market. It’s busy, busy in Sunset Beach Club’s commercial department. As I write this post, Melissa is desperately trying to squeeze brochures into her Ryanair-friendly suitcase as she prepares for the Wedding Journal Show which will be held at the Citywest complex inDublinthis weekend.
The show is open to the public on Saturday the 24th and Sunday the 25th September with opening hours from 11am to 6pm on both days.
Hundred’s of Ireland’s leading wedding businesses will be present at the show: You’ll be able to see the best in wedding venues (like Sunset Beach Club J), wedding cakes, flowers, dresses, cars, wedding favours and lots more…
Brides, bridesmaids and even bride’s mums will be able to get advice on how to look best for the special day by going along to the Style Stage where a team of expert stylists will help you find the perfect look!
