Daphonbury 2023: Coast’s Top Performers Unite for a Great Cause

On Friday 22nd September the Coast’s top musicians and entertainers will be performing in the 3rd edition of the Daphonbury Festival, an amazing event to raise funds for Bowel Cancer UK.

This live music festival takes place in our Moonlight Bar and has been organised by Tony Whitehouse, (many of you will know Tony as he has performed at Sunset Beach on many occasions as a key member of Diverse, and their fantastic Tributes to Take That and Westlife).

Next week, our neighbours in Torremolinos celebrate their local festivities in honour of their patron saint. The ‘Feria de San Miguel’ is their biggest event of the year and offers 4 days (from 27
th September to 1st October) of fun and entertainment to all who visit the town.

Oktoberfest comes to Benalmádena

From the 15th to the 17th September Benalmadena will host a new edition of its Oktoberfest Beer Festival.

This fun concept has been highly successful in other towns along the Costa del Sol and now returns to Benalmadena for 3 days of fun and the best beers! The event takes place in Plaza Adolfo Suárez (Pueblo Sol).

This Beer Festival will bring together the essence of the world-famous Oktoberfest celebrations and the hospitality of Benalmadena and its citizens. Visitors to the festival will have the opportunity to sample more than 20 different beers from Germany and other parts of the world, and we mustn’t forget the delicious and typical German foods on offer… Roast pork, a wide variety of sausages, sauerkraut and pretzels to name but a few!

Malaga International Kite Festival 2023: A Colorful Spectacle You Won’t Want to Miss

The skies of Malaga will be full of colour the weekend of the 29th & 30th April for the city’s first International Kite Festival.

This stunning visual spectacle will take place on the beaches of El Palo and Pedregalejo, on the eastern side of the city and promises to be a fun weekend for locals and visitors alike.

The event is completely free for spectators to enjoy – although you may wish to splash out on a few sardines and cold beers in one of the fabulous local ‘chiringuitos’ 😊. You’ll be treated to stunning displays from classic kite flyers as well as acrobatics, aerial tricks and impressive choreographies from renowned international kite flying artists.
