A trip into Málaga’s city centre is a must for all who visit the Costa del Sol and, as from last month, there’s a new star attraction which you’ll need to add to your list of places to see: The Terraces of Málaga Cathedral.

Opened to the general public last month, these new terraces are located almost fifty metres above sea level and offer visitors stunning views over the city and a great perspective of the famous Alcazaba fortress. If you don’t mind the 200 step climb, this really is a unique experience which allows you to walk over an area of the cathedral that has never been open to the public and where you’ll be able to take spectacular photos of the city. A new exhibition featuring the Holy Shroud was opened to the public in Malaga on Thursday 23rd February. This was in fact the world debut of this fascinating exhibition which locals and visitors to Malaga will be able to see until mid June – after this date it will relocate to other cities in Europe and the Americas.

As we approach the Easter celebrations, this exhibition will undoubtedly become a major highlight for tourists who flock to the Costa del Sol’s capital for its popular Easter processions. This is actually the first time that the Holy Shroud – one of the most studied religious artefacts in history – receives its own featured exhibition. (more…)
