From Thursday 27th August to Sunday 30th August 2026, Benalmádena Pueblo (the old town) will host the latest edition of its Arabian Market (Zoco), an event which, once again, returns to the town’s summer cultural programme.
The Arabian Market will be spread out throughout various locations, running from Calle Real to Plaza de Andalucia and Plaza Santa Cruz. Aimed to promote the town’s beauty and charm, the town hall hopes this unique event will once again attract tourists from all over the Coast.
The ‘Virgen del Carmen‘ celebrations take place in Benalmadena Marina from next Thursday 16th July, 2026.
The Benalmadena town hall has prepared various events which will take place on Thursday 16th, Friday 17th and Saturday 18th July, including a wonderful procession through the streets of Benalmádena Costa in which the fishermen will carry their ‘Stella Maris’ to the Marina. She’ll be lifted aboard a boat and paraded along the Benalmadena coastline (weather permitting).

The San Juan Fair in Arroyo de la Miel is back again this year with a full programme of events which kicks off on Tuesday, 23rd June!
This year, we’ll be able to enjoy the amazing fireworks display on San Juan night (23rd June) as well as the traditional bonfires along the beaches. The popular ‘Casetas’ are back in the main fairground every night, as are all the fairground attractions and live music concerts. The day fair will also provide hours of entertainment with live music and dancing featuring local artists.
Benalmádena is getting ready to host its popular ‘Feria del Marisco’ (Seafood Fair) from the 28th May to the 32st May. This year the event is changing location and moving from the Marina to Plaza Adolfo Suarez. All who visit Benalmadena this weekend will be able to sample some of the most delicious seafood at bargain prices!
This year’s Cudeca Walkathon is changing location. For the first time in many years, the event will not be held on the promenade in front of Sunset Beach Club. The organisers wanted a change and have decided that the best location is the Arroyo de la Miel Fairground next to Paloma Park, allowing for more participants, given the large available space.
This year’s event takes place of Saturday 23rd May, 2026 and will hopefully break all attendance records!
Every year, we here at Sunset Beach Club provide our unconditional support to this fantastic event aiming to raise awareness for the incredible work the Cudeca Foundation does for Cancer patients here on the Costa del Sol. The funds raised during the Walkathon also allow for the continued palliative care the Cudeca Hospice offers to more than 1400 cancer patients and their families, free of charge.
Next Sunday the 19th of April 2026, Benalmadena will host the 41st edition of its popular ‘Fiesta de la Bicicleta’ or Bicycle Party, one of the city’s oldest and most emblematic events in its busy sports calendar. This year, the event returns stronger than ever with a fun-packed morning of cycling for all who choose to participate.
It’s not a race. The whole event is designed to be a fun family day out, fitting in perfectly with Benalmadena’s image as an idyllic destination for tourism and sports.
This unique tradition started almost 41 years ago to encourage the use of bicycles as a healthy habit and an alternative form of transport. Many years later, there’s still a lot of work to do in this aspect, and the town hall remains committed to promoting the use of more eco-friendly and non-contaminating transport to help stop climate change.
