On Saturday 18th May 2024, the promenade in front of Sunset Beach Club in Benalmádena will become the meeting point for another edition of the Cudeca Walkathon.
Every year, we here at Sunset Beach Club provide our unconditional support to this fantastic event which aims to raise awareness for the incredible work the Cudeca Foundation does for Cancer patients here on the Costa del Sol. The funds raised during the Walkathon also allow for the continued palliative care the Cudeca Hospice offers to more than 1400 cancer patients and their families free of charge.
Benalmádena is getting ready to host it’s popular ‘Feria del Marisco’ (Seafood Fair) from 18th to 21st April. This event takes place in a large tent in the parking area (next to Kaleido Bar) in Benalmádena Marina. Next Sunday the 14th of April, Benalmadena will host the 39th edition of its popular ‘Fiesta de la Bicicleta’ or Bicycle Party, one of the city’s oldest and most emblematic events in its busy sports calendar. This year the event returns stronger than ever with a fun-packed morning of cycling for all who choose to participate.
It’s not a race. The whole event is designed to be a fun family day out, fitting in perfectly with Benalmadena’s image as an idyllic destination for tourism and sports.
This unique tradition started almost 40 years ago to foment the use of bicycles as a healthy habit and an alternative form of transport. Many years later there’s still a lot of work to do in this aspect and the town hall remains committed to promoting the use of more eco-friendly and non-contaminating transport to help stop climate change. The Calamorro Skyrace will be the second event of the Merrell Skyrunner World Series and will take place on Saturday 6th April, 2024.
Securing the celebration of this prestigious event last year was a significant coup which has undoubtedly helped position Benalmadena on the national and international sports map thanks to the coverage on Spain’s Teledeporte sports channel and other global media.
We’re in for an exciting 4 weeks here at Sunset Beach Club as we once again welcome Cricket Teams from all over Europe as the Official Hotel partners of the European Cricket League.
Cricket fans will be able to enjoy this international club tournament which takes place over a 4-week period and which this year features 35 teams from across Europe, including two teams from England.
This traditional festivity of colourful fun, singing and dancing which starts on the 2nd February 2024, and goes on until Sunday 11th February 2024, offers local residents and visitors a full events programme with activities and entertainment to suit all ages.
