This summer Benalmádena will host a festival which is unique to all of Spain, the Benalmádena Theatre and Music Festival. There is no other like it in all of Spain and during the months of July and August we will be able to enjoy the best productions that Madrid’s ‘Gran Vía’ (Equivalent of London’s West End) has hosted.
The fun starts on the 6th July and goes on until 29th August. Every day (with the exception of Monday) you´ll be able to enjoy one of the 13 shows included in the Festival’s programme.
The Benalmádena City Council has just presented ‘Verano en Benalmádena 2020) (Summer in Benalmádena 2020)’, a series of cultural events for July and August that Benalmadena residents and all visitors can enjoy.
This program aims to support the local cultural industry, betting on the talent of local artists who, like many, have been going through a hard time since the state of alarm was declared.
Next Saturday the 20th July Benalmadena will host the 2nd edition of an event in which participating businesses, bars and restaurants will host concerts with all different types of music: The Ruta de la Música (Music Route).
This year the organisers will be celebrating two events, one this weekend and the other on the 4th October so that they take place in two different seasons and so that they can see the impact each of these events has on the local economy.

This project is a collaboration between Benalmadena Town Hall’s Youth Department, The local chamber of commerce (ACEB) and Benalmadena´s Association of Musicians. All three have joined forces to once again create a route which will allow visitors to enjoy good music as well as the local shops and businesses. On Saturday 25th May Sunset Beach Club will be celebrating its 4th annual charity gala in aid of three amazing children’s charities: Debra Spain (The Butterfly Children Charity), Barretstown and Make-A-Wish® Spain.
The talented Ricky Lavazza will once again take to the stage for this fun “Disco Fever” show along with special guests, The Abba Experience. Featuring hits from artists such as Kool and the Gang, Sister Sledge, Barry White and, of course, Abba, you’ll certainly need your dancing shoes for what promises to be a fantastic evening. (more…)
This Summer, the picturesque white village of Mijas will play host to a series of concerts featuring some of the world’s best cover bands and singers.
Under the ‘Hot Summer Nights’ banner, this series of concerts kicks of next Thursday 25th June with a fantastic Swing Night followed by Spain’s top ‘Bruce Springsteen’ tribute band in Friday 26th June.
