On Saturday 3rd June 2023, the promenade in front of Sunset Beach Club in Benalmádena will become the meeting point for another edition of the Cudeca Walkathon.
Every year, we here at Sunset Beach Club provide our unconditional support to this fantastic event which aims to raise awareness for the incredible work the Cudeca Foundation does for Cancer patients here on the Costa del Sol. The funds raised during the Walkathon also allow for the continued palliative care the Cudeca hospice offers to more than 1400 cancer patients and their families totally free of charge.

On Saturday 25th May Sunset Beach Club will be celebrating its 4th annual charity gala in aid of three amazing children’s charities: Debra Spain (The Butterfly Children Charity), Barretstown and Make-A-Wish® Spain.
The talented Ricky Lavazza will once again take to the stage for this fun “Disco Fever” show along with special guests, The Abba Experience. Featuring hits from artists such as Kool and the Gang, Sister Sledge, Barry White and, of course, Abba, you’ll certainly need your dancing shoes for what promises to be a fantastic evening. (more…)

For the last two years, Sunset Beach Club hotel – and guests who visit – have been actively supporting three children’s charities: The Butterfly Children Charity (Debra Spain) which helps children with EB, a condition which makes skin as fragile as a butterfly wing; Make-a-Wish Spain which grants magical wishes to children fighting life threatening medical conditions and Barretstown, a unique camp that provides medically endorsed residential programmes of therapeutic recreation for children with cancer and other serious illnesses. We’re delighted to, once again, collaborate with the Volvo National Club Challenge, the UK’s largest amateur charity golf competition, supporting and helping members of the Armed Forces through the Help for Heroes Charity.
Last year’s event was a great success and Sunset Beach Club was delighted to contribute by donating a fantastic 3 night winter break as one of the prizes. This year, in addition to the actual golf challenge, the Volvo National Club Challenge has set up an auction page on their website (http://nationalgolfclubchallenge.org.uk/auction/index.php ) with some fantastic holidays and breaks for people to bid on. It’s Walkathon Time! Come and join us on Sunday 12th May for another edition of this amazing event in aid of the Cudeca Cancer Care Hospice.
If you are interested in contributing to this great cause, the fun packed day begins at 9.30am on Sunday the 12th May. Just head down to the Promenade in front of Sunset different routes you can choose from, depending on your fitness and energy levels!
Route #1 –2 km wheelchair friendly route (Starts at 11.30am).
Route #2 – 5km route along the beach and promenade from Sunset Beach Club to theMarina and back again (Starts at 11.30am).
Route #3 –10 km route which will take you as far as Torremuelle and the Marina; this one is a little more challenging and involves walking/running up hills (Starts at 10km). (more…)
