Although not the high season here in Benalmadena, Christmas time offers lots of interesting things to keep the whole family entertained.
Our guests often ask us for recommendations on things to do at this time of year so we’ve decided to put together this list which includes activities and specific places you can visit during the holidays. Although the title of this post specifically states Benalmadena, you’ll find that our list wanders a little further down the Coast; that being said, all of these places are well connected by public transport.

The city of Málaga is preparing to host the 38th edition of its International Jazz Festival from the 2nd to the 9th November 2024 with a fantastic lineup to delight Jazz lovers!
This year’s programme stands out for the quality of musicians taking to the stage of the Cervantes Theatre. You’ll be able to enjoy the music of artists such as Fred Hersch, Elaine Elias, Chief Adjuah, Egberto Gismonti, Christian McBride and Pat Metheny. (more…)
Cirque du Soleil, the largest theatrical producer in the world arrives in Málaga next week with their show ‘Alegría’. From the 31st May to the 30th June locals and visitors to the Costa del Sol can enjoy this fun and colourful show in the ‘Grand Chapiteau’ which will be located in the Recinto Ferial Cortijo de Torres (Main Fair Ground) in Málaga.
Alegría premiered in 1994 and has become one of the most beloved Cirque du Soleil shows. It has been touring the world delighting more than 14 million spectators in 255 cities and over 40 countries!
On the 24th, 25th, 26th and 27th November 2022, the Moonlight Bar at Sunset Beach Club will once again host Blues at Moonlight, an international music festival for fans of Rockabilly and music with true American roots.
Now in its 14th year, the event promises a fantastic line-up of international (and national) artists and groups. Having established itself as one of the most important festivals in this musical genre, Blues at Moonlight is definitely one to add to your calendar!
The daytime/afternoon activities (DJ’s and live music) will take place in our Oasis Restaurant.
This summer Benalmádena will host a festival which is unique to all of Spain, the Benalmádena Theatre and Music Festival. There is no other like it in all of Spain and during the months of July and August we will be able to enjoy the best productions that Madrid’s ‘Gran Vía’ (Equivalent of London’s West End) has hosted.
The fun starts on the 6th July and goes on until 29th August. Every day (with the exception of Monday) you´ll be able to enjoy one of the 13 shows included in the Festival’s programme.
Faulty Towers, The Original Dining Experience is coming back to Sunset Beach Club on Saturday 16th November 2019!
Officially the world’s longest-running dining experience, this one-of-a-kind original has been selling out at venues around the world for nearly 22 years – including Sydney Opera House and London’s West End. Critically acclaimed as an ‘outrageously funny’ night out (Broadway Baby, Edinburgh Fringe), this all-in-one experience returns to Spain and Gibraltar for a short tour in November 2019 and will be held in Sunset Beach Club’s Sala Málaga Banquet Hall on Saturday 16th November. Be warned: tickets for all the other shows on the Coast are practically sold out, so early booking is essential so that you don’t miss out on this evening of fun dining! (more…)
