If you enjoy a warm and hearty casserole during these cooler winter days (well, cooler by Costa del Sol standards) then we highly recommend you take a quick trip down to Fuengirola for their annual ‘Cazuela de la Abuela’ (Grandma’s Casserole) event which starts this weekend.
From the 8th March to the 24th March, locals and visitors to Fuengirola will be able to sample tasty traditional Mediterranean casserole dishes – including yummy ‘lentejas’ and ‘callos’- just like the local’s Grandmas used to make (or still do!). (more…)

Poster for this year’s Rockin Race Jamboree 2019
Thursday 7th February 2019 sees the start of another edition of the Rockin’ Race Jamboree music festival in Torremolinos. This is the event’s 25th anniversary and will attract thousands of visitors from all over the world eager to enjoy a fun packed long weekend (7th, 8th, 9th & 10th February) to the sounds of their favourite musical genre: music with American roots from the 50’s.
This year’s festival features some of the world’s top artists exclusively for the event! There are approximately 28 artists and bands playing during the 4-day event, including:

One of the most popular places to visit in the Benalmadena/Torremolinos area is the Crocodile Park. If you’ve got kids and are looking for a fun day out, you’ll definitely want to add this one to your to-do list!
Located next to the popular water park in Torremolinos, the Crocodile Park is home to more than 200 crocodiles, including ‘Paco’(also known as Big Daddy), a 600 kg monster croc!
The visit to the park lasts approximately 2 hours and includes guided tours and live demonstrations. Watching ‘Paco’ at feeding time must be quite a spectacle 🙂 The Park’s experienced guides show you how they handle these fascinating creatures and explain the intricate details of the croc’s lifestyle. Benalmadena Town Hall has recently announced the construction of a new bicycle lane on the old coast road from Carvajal (near Fuengirola) to Sunset Beach Club.
After reducing the road from four lanes to two and temporarily converting a lane in each direction into parking spaces, the local council now plans to covert one of these ‘parking lanes’ into a bicycle lane. (more…)
