Although not the high season here in Benalmadena, Christmas time offers lots of interesting things to keep the whole family entertained.
Our guests often ask us for recommendations on things to do at this time of year so we’ve decided to put together this list which includes activities and specific places you can visit during the holidays. Although the title of this post specifically states Benalmadena, you’ll find that our list wanders a little further down the Coast; that being said, all of these places are well connected by public transport.

Have you made any plans for Christmas and New Year?
It’s a fun and exciting time to visit Sunset Beach Club, and whilst it’s a little different than spending it in front of the fire with rain or snow outside, there’s something special about enjoying a glass of Bucks Fizz whilst sitting out in the Winter sunshine 🙂

With just a few weeks to go until Christmas, Benalmádena is getting into the Christmas spirit by celebrating the 14th edition of the International Christmas Festival.
On the 1st, 2nd and 3rd of December you can visit Plaza Adolfo Suarez (it was Plaza Mezquita last year but they’ve changed to this new location this year) from 12:00pm to midnight (until 8:00pm on Sunday 3rd December) and enjoy the festive customs, musical shows, exquisite gastronomy and typical products and crafts from all the participating countries.

We all know Benalmadena is a popular holiday destination in the high-season Spring and Summer months. However, this gorgeous part of Spain is also fantastic to visit in the quieter Winter months.
We’ve put together a list of great things you can do when you visit Benalmadena in December and January.
